Question:

Why am I having such mixed feelings about my upcoming baby?

I am 26 weeks pregnant and lately I am getting these feelings of anxiety that I am not ready for a new baby; mentally or financially. Then at times I feel so extremely excited that I wish the baby could be here already. I know my hormones are out of whack and this could be contributing to the extreme mood swings, but has anyone else felt this confused during their pregnancy and how did you cope with it??

  1. Maybe your anxious. Just relax, take a breather whenever you feel anxiety. Stress and anxiety are not good for both you and the baby. Is this your first child? I think that after you have it you will be fine. Just please don't think about getting an abortion. Take things day by day, try not to worry, and you should be fine.

    Congratulations!

  2. I think all new moms feel this way.  There is the excitement and euphoria of knowing that you have your baby growing inside you and will soon be able to meet the baby...but then there is the stark reality that you will be responsible for a new life.  Hormones could play a part but I really think it a natural response and adjustment to the idea of becoming a parent.  Just remember, when your baby is born you will figure things out.  Eventually everything falls into place and then you cannot imagine life without your little one in it.  Good luck and congratulations.

  3. i felt the same way when i was pregnant..and at times i felt like that after he was born..its a normal feeling and as long as you're not going to harm the baby or yourself then the feelings will pass..don't stess yourself it will all fall into place and you will make due

  4. there is nothing wrong with the way you're feeling. i remember when i was trying to get pregnant i thought i was super ready to be a mom and then when i got pregnant i was scared to death! believe me, after the baby gets here you will have so many awesome instincts and feel like a pro in no time!

  5. its natural. for a few weeks you should pamper yourself. get a new haircut a new outfit. you should also make a list of the thing that have to get done and see if family will help you complete the list.

in reality noone is truley prepared for a baby. those darn hormones

  6. I feel the same way and would like to see the answers.

  7. its normal, but if you think about it theres no right time to have a baby they come when they do, i felt like this every new mother does, once they are here amazing feeling of love,
