Why am I like this =[?

My dog died this past weekend and I've had her ever since she was a pup. She's been in my life since I was in first grade, and it's really been hard on me.

I've woken up and gone to sleep crying because I miss her so much and it's not the same going outside knowing she's not there anymore.

Why am I so sad over her death when human beings that I know that have passed away I've never cried nearly as much over? Some of them were distant family members and a couple were even friends, but why am I crying more over a dog than a human?

Is that a bad thing?

  2. i know how you feel. its just hard losing that one "joy" in your life my dog just died too..well a while ago but i cried for like 4 weeks straight I'm not kidding i know its hard at first but soon you'll learn to accept your dogs death..and know  he/she isn't' here anymore and you cant do anything about it

  3. I know exactly how you feel.

It's okay to feel like this, I learned.

Animal or Human Being - doesn't matter.  The death of

an animal is sometimes more hard hitting because you are ALWAYS

with your dog.  Friends come and go, you aren't with them 24/7.  Your dog was like a spouse or a child to you.  Don't feel bad about greiving so much, it's perfectly fine.   You will feel better, it just might take a little while.  My deepest condolences are to you.   Take comfort in knowing that she's in a better place, watching over you [:

  4. You were really close to her, she was with you for a long time. You can't help the way you feel sometimes, that's not a bad thing, don't worry. I'm sorry that happened.

  5. You were more than likely closer to your pup than the others.  Pets are like children or siblings or best friends.  My father cried alot when our dog passed years ago.  He had her for 18 years and was lost without her.

A pet is someone who loves you unconditionally and who you can tell your deepest thoughts to.  It's totally normal for you to feel this way for awhile.

My thoughts go out to you.

  6. No way is this a bad thing! I know what it feels like! I had a kitten and she grew up with me, she died and I was upset for weeks. Its because your very close to your dog that you feel so upset, when people you know, your not as sad. The people you know, arnt like close friends so they wudnt mean so much. Dont worry, there are books and stuff out ther 2 help. You will get over it. Maby get anova dog sumtie? Ur dog that died will always still be in your memory. :)

  7. This is probably the first being that died that you say pretty much every day of your life. You were really attached to this dog, he was your companion. I know that when my dog died it was the hardest death I had ever dealt with and I had had this dog since I was three.

It will still be hard, its supposed to be. But think how amazing the time you had with this dog was. It hurts so much because you were so close . It will get better, Just remember the good times that will live for ever.

I am sorry for your lose as you deal with this hard time.

  8. i don't think it is bad at all cause pets r wonderful and they r always there ya it is really hard to loose a animal it makes it even harder to loose 1 that u have had for so long but it will happen the best thing to do is maybe talk to ur mom u'll get through ur just really sad u lost her

  9. No way.

If my dog died I would cry and cry and cry! Way more than I would cry if I lost my Mum or my boyfriend. I know that sounds horrible, but I love my dog.

    ...

  10. Your dog was a member of your family for a long while, its perfectly acceptable to cry over a dog more over another close human being. Sorry, for your loss I know its hard. I will be putting down my own puppy girl soon due to cancer, and Im already mourning her. Again, I am sorry and I hope you find joy in her memory soon.
