Why am I more nervous.........?

Why am I more nervous to go to open house to get my shedule for school and see my classes then the first day of school? I'm not really nervous for the first day of school but I'm nervous for open house. Why is that?

Maybe because you dont want to see people there.You dont want your parents to go with you.You want everything on a downlow.

most likely cuz your parent are going to see your work and meet your teachers and ask how you do in class and such.... i get more nevous on open house too... but i nevous on the first day of school too! :)

Maybe you're more nervous about the open house than the first day of school because an open house isn't structured like classes. At an open house, you have to mingle and wait around in lines where people are talking. You don't have a desk to hide away at or a teacher to structure activities and break the ice. It's all on you to socialize. That's my best guess. Don't let anyone make you feel inferior. They're probably all nervous when they walk into the building, too. Be confident but not cocky, and be nice but not a pushover. You should be fine.

The first day of school is scheduled. Planned out. You know exactly how it is going to go.

Open house is madness. People everywhere. Kids & parents talking, laughing, fighting. You don't know what to expect.

You can be invisible at school, when it is a school day. Open house things are more about you and you probably feel like you're under scrutiny.
