Why am I not Pregnant yet?

My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected s*x for the last 9 months. It started with using condoms and birth control pills at the beginning of our relationship and then like I said we gradually just stopped using any type of birth control beginning about 9 months ago. I know we are not wed locked, but come on people it is the 21st century so respect my decision please and don't leave any lecturing comments. Anyways, I'm not exactly trying to get pregnant, by stop using birth controls and the pull out method, but my boyfriend did use the pull out method and he eventually told me later on he didn't exactly "pull out" fast enough on many occasions. lol And he had wondered why I never got pregnant. I am not having irregular periods or anything and my boyfriend had no trouble in getting his ex girlfriends pregnant in the past as well. We do have a 8 year age gap between us, but I don't see why that would matter. I would also say we have s*x more than an average couple would. About 12-16 times a week. :) I'm not trying to conceive ,but rather just going with whatever happens and when it happens. Yes, I have thought about going to get tested for infertility and such; just haven't really wanted to get around to it yet. I guess i'm just wondering why am I not pregnant yet?

Even if people are perfectly healthy, it can take a while to conceive. My mom is a nurse and sees people try for a long time, but can't have kids right away. My own parents tried for three years before getting pregnant. Your body actually naturally rejects sperm. So, it can take a while for the sperm and egg to get together. You also need to make sure you're ovulating. You can get a thermometer over the counter to measure your body temperature to make sure you're ovulating. Other factors can effect conception like body weight. A doctor would be able to pin point problems if you're still not pregnant.

good god..how many kids does he have???

you really want to have a kid with him?

think about it...does he take care of his other kids? does he pay child support?

and how old are you? you sound very young!

Or both of you are.

Some people have used the pull-out method only for years and have not had pregnancy. ** shrugs **

You will only get pregnant when you are ovulating, but everyone says differently.  I had the same thing for like a year and half before she got pregnant.  

I'd say everything happens for a reason and its not time but if your really concerned, get a fertility test.

Well if you want to conceive you have to check your ovulation monthly.There is a site babycenter.com which can help.I use it to help me with my last 2. So now have a 2yr and currently 33 weeks with my last one

if your just trying to see if  you would get pregnant  than get a abortion

some people just dont get pregnant easy, and some do.  it will happen when it is supposed to.  and dont worry about all those judgemental PR!CK$ you do whats right for you.  besides if he walked away you can force a paternity test and he would still have to pay. so they can take that and shove it....
