Okay, so why is it that I can eat a HUGE mountainous vegan salad (like the WHOLE plate full and about 3 inches tall) and not feel stuffed, but eat a petite fillet mignon and about a cup of mashed potatoes and feel like I'm gonna bust my gut!

  1. Salad doesn't contain much fiber. Salad is a light and healthy food. A carbohydrate rich food like potatoes contains more fiber, and so does a petite fillet Mignon. They are more prone to make you feel more full.

  2. Proteins in the fillet mignon makes u feel full faster.

  3. It really depends on ur digestions , the time you eat , wat you eat before eating that.

  4. The salad is very light in calories and fat and won't fill your stomach as much as other things. The other food you ate was much more calorie-dense so it made you full. It's like if you drank a cup of milk, rather then water, you would feel fuller after the cup of milk. :)

  5. Starches like potatoes expand in your belly. Consider how much water you had to drink as well. Lots of liquids can make you feel full.

  6. protein takes a lot longer to digest, it stays w/ you longer.

  7. The fillet mignon and mashed potatoes are way more calorically dense than the vegan salad, and have a lot more fat which makes you feel fuller.
