Question:

Why am I not getting any sound from my speakers?

I have a Pioneer surround sound system and 4 of the speakers have no sound. I checked all connections and everything checks out. I also checked the settings. If they are blown, wouldn't they crackle? There is no sound at all from these 4 speakers, and they all quit at different times.

  1. yeah check the wiring, your receiver may be going into "protect" mode.

  2. Most likely your amplifier is faulty get it checked from a technician

Speakers and wires don't go faulty unless bitten by rats or cut physically which you can make out with naked eyes.

  3. maybe the cd or dvd you are playing. sometimes that happen when you get poor quality (not digital) cd's.

  4. You have to switch on first!

  5. Maybe its the wiring and you need to replace the wires.
