Why am I not getting certain HD channels?

I recently moved back home for the summer and i've found that I am not getting the HD channels that I was getting before even though my dads tv is getting them. Im getting espn 1 and 2 in HD but not the local HD channels (nbc, fox, cbs and abc).

When i go to the same channels that work on my dads my tv says its not getting a signal. I even tried using that cable that my dads tv is plugged into. We were thinking that a new signal booster might do the trick?

  1. Using a cable box in both locations?  Need to reboot or unplug your cable box for 1 minute then plug it back in and wait for it to reload the channel map.

Using built in tuner?  Redo the auto programming of  the channels.

  2. call your cable/satellite provider? or maybe  your locals arent in hd yet

  3. I cant figure out how to reply from my name, but i both my and my dads tv is using the digital tuner. I reprogrammed the channels but really all that does is set it up to go through the channels, not "activate" them. Same brand panasionic lcd tvs. BTW when i do reprogram the channels (digital and analog) although i get alot of other digital channels i am not getting the local ones that my dad is getting in the same house. (no digital cable or anything, straight from the wall.)
