Why am i recieving low scores on my ACTs? The first two times i took i them, i recieved a 20. I have a 3.7 GPA, im in honors and AP classes. I'm currently a senior in high school. I attended college classes last year. I speak four languages. I honestly think im somewhat intelligent. Why am I recieving a low score? I know peopl who do not study and have a low GPA, however they scored higher than a 25 on the ACTs. Why do I have such a low score? What can i do to higher it SOON? HELP! PLEASE!

  1. Standardized testing is not a very accurate reflection of our intellect. It's just another way for colleges to look at students objectively.

I think you might just be a bad test taker. I would suggest doing some practice tests and getting some test taking tips from the ACT practice books out there. Also, you might want to consider taking the SAT test instead; some people are stronger in literature and English. You clearly have a penchant of linguistics. Although that might not help you too much, you might be more familiar with the roots of vocabulary words that are tested on the SATs.

I hope this helps! Good luck :)
