Why am I saving Earth resources?

Question

I have a car, but I cycle to work, I changed all light bulbs to the new more efficient ones in the house, always turn off electric appliances, recycle almost evrything in the house, and at work, and why ?? so to one of these idiots have their fun ?? why in h**l this dude needs a 840 seater for private use ??

First I congratulate you for your eco-friendliness! and Old know all, every little bit helps, and if everyone did one little thing it would add up to a big thing. Such as if every household in the UK had one energy saving lightbulb, we could shut down 23 powerstations. Keep doing what you are doing and encourage others to do anything they can to help too. I agree it is discouraging when you see idiots like him doing unnecessary things and damaging the environment even more, whats wrong with him using public transport anyway if he has to? they are just showing off.

Every little bit counts, you do your bit. So ignore this arrogant people who have money burning their pockets and see causing more pollution to the environment as a way of spending it.

But why blame just him - look at our Government - big gas guzzling cars to go to meetings - and all the bodyguards that follow - The Royal Family - Oh! dear another jet or helicopter ride and all the bodyguars that follow.

Pop/Rock stars Save The Planet concerts - all the jets to get there - the big cars to get to the stadiums - the electricity used to pump out the volume and the lighting - blah blah blah.

Just a couple of examples - these people create more pollution than any of us do, so you can feel blessed that your efforts are allowing them to create more pollution on your behalf and at your tax expenses.

Well it all helps, but it's not going to make a great deal of difference.  One launch of the space shuttle and all our good work goes to waste.  We need action on a global scale if we're going to save the planet.  But not to worry.  The human race will wipe themselves out in a few generations and without us the Earth will recover in a century.
