Well, I don't think I'm paranoid but I'm so afraid at night- afraid someone might be in the house or someone might break in or there might be ghosts and stuff, and whenever I watch a scary movie during the day I get so freaked at night, so how can I stop being so scared of every little thing??? thanks!! :)

  1. Most likely, it maybe from the scary movies; some people get paranoid from watching horror films. Your solution is simple; lay off the scary movies for awile, that might be all you need.

  2. Once, when I was babysitting, I heard a noise on the back porch, which was screened.  I determined I would NOT be afraid (I was) and charged right out there to chew out whoever was scaring me.

I ran into a shelf at eye level, so hard that I was stunned.  But it hurt enough I couldn't get all soppy feeling sorry for myself.

And I had to go to school next day with a black eye.

I really do suggest you skip scary movies.  You don't seem to need them. You're probably the best ghost story teller of anyone you know.

Just an idea - have a slumber party or camp-out and tell ghost stories.  (If you tell them not to, they'll all feel compelled to tell a story.)  Just make sure you tell yours first and that it's way scariest..

  3. I used to be that way. I got a dog, I know he will bark his head off if a stranger enters the house. I got him after that doctor's family 2 girls and wife was killed by two strangers last year. The doctor was beaten up a locked in to the basement, house burned down. Did not mean to scare you. You are not paranoid at all.

  4. The more we experience in life the more we get accustom, the more we strengthen our senses and our nerves. Go camping, even if the first night is in your back yard. Take walks in the dark, and at first keep a flash light. The more you do the less you will begin to fear.

  5. I was always like that to, I have to sleep with my door shut still, and I have to look at it before I fall asleep.

I think it's because maybe you might watch to many scary movies or even watch stuff where people break in or about real murders and stuff, Like watching the movie IT, I was scared of my shower for the longest time, Just try to ignore it or just resume your night without thinking about it, After some weeks I completely forgot about it and don't even remember it unless someone brings it up, It's like your making yourself think about it when you don't want to, I'm kinda saying "ignore the pain it will go away" kind of thing, but also just BLOCK it out of your head, think of how your day was like maybe before you fall asleep then just blank out like I do lol.

    Hope it helps!

Just don't think about it, your forcing yourself to think about it and worry.

  6. Not to sound like an ***, but maybe talking to someone would help.
