Why am I so unlucky with work? Any tips?

Hi all, I work as a junior creative trying to get my career going in advertising in London. I like to think I am talented and I think my work speaks for itself. However, I have sent my CV and portfolio everywhere and I just can't seem to get my break. I have been jobless for about a year now and starting to lose faith in my creative abilities. Students that were not as good as me are already in great jobs and very happy.

I worry I will have to work doing something I am not passionate about just to make ends meet.

Why am I so unlucky?

Maybe try reworking your CV and portfolio.  There are professional services that may be able to offer you some suggestions.  Have you seen your competition's portfolios at all?  Maybe try a different format.  Ask a few recruiters to critique it as well.

don't lose hope. it could be that your CV and portfolio needs some work. since companies don't really see you and how creative you are, you have to let your CV do that for you. you are only given once chance and a few minutes to attract your future bosses so you have to give your CV and portfolio a good makeover.
