Why am I wheezing after doing some painting?

  3. maybe it's because of the smell of the paint it happens to some people


  4. you have inhaled some ot the paint's fumes and it is causing a reaction to your lungs so go out of the area and get some fresh air as soon as possible and the next time you paint please wear a mask for your protection  

  5. The fumes from most oil paints are toxic. If you have an allergy or are sensitive to petroleum products then you will be to oil paints as well.  The ingredients in oil paints are petroleum base.

    Paint in an area that is well ventilated and wear a facemask that specifically filters out noxious fumes.  I weld and braze so I have to wear a filter mask. I paint with acrylics so I don’t have to wear the mask. But I still am cautious breathing the vapors of the acrylic paints.
