Why am i asked to log in when i get online verizon\yahoo?

Sounds like you are having a problem with "cookies" on your system.  I would run a spyware and virus application to clean it up a bit.  Also, on your web browser, go under Tools, Internet Options and run through the Delete files, Delete cookies and Delete history options.  You can also check the security tab settings under here and make sure you don't have set to block cookies, etc.  Then try again with the login and see if it saves it...
