Why am i constantly getting infected with spyware?

i keep getting infected with spyware on my computer i torrent some which is partly to blame i know i scan every file i download but torrent sites themselves are full of spyware is there a software out there that blocks spyware from geting on your computer in the first place i use spyware doctor pc tools antivirus and zonealarm firewall but i still keep getting spyware that i cant get rid of so i havet to reinstall windows and im tired of it every 3 or 4 days i havet to do it what can i do about this

The only 100% sure way to be free of spyware is not to use Windows. Ubuntu Linux is a popular choice.

The rest of this answer only applies if you can't live without Windows.

The best protection against spyware in Windows is to stop using Internet Explorer. Firefox and Opera are good alternatives.

The second best protection is not using Windows Live Messenger. Pidgin is a good alternative, but won't work with voice/video. http://pidgin.im/

Some torrents files are fakes, plain and simple. Some try to trick you into installing stuff with spyware. Be sceptical and paranoid. On the internet, everyone's out to get you.

Dialog boxes that pop up with messages like "Your computer is infected with spyware, download SuperMega SpyClean now!" are always fakes!

Norton Internet Security 2005 is not known for removing spyware or adware as well as the 2006. So i suggest you try installing an antispyware program. There are free ones and ones you can buy.

Try reformatting your computer and performing a clean installtion : step by step below

then only look for torrents that are trusted and have a lost of leechers for godsake!!!

also get some antivirus like MacAfee and spyware programme i.e. Ad-aware or Spyware doctor or Zapa...

try to download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and do a full scan. it's free

Try Comodo BOClean. It will try to block the install of the bad software. It's free.

While at the site, have a look at the firewall also. It does a much better job than Zonealarm.

Bottom line....... as long as you continue using torrent, you are likely to have ongoing problems.
