Why am i getting bad ping?

I bought rainbow six vegas 2 the other day and when i went to play online i noticed i have yellow ping when i play against australians. Normally i should be getting 3 green bars. I checked my usage and its no where near full. Does anyone no what could be causing this.

Well i just have 2 answers dont know which one is right but just see

1: Have you considered your not playing from your country ive got a gun that has the same problem with you because im playing from australian and im joining american severs

2: Or you have really slow internet
