Why am i hitting to much grounders ?

i don't know why i am hittign so much grounders i am hitting them hard but right at the player i want to hit more line drives so plz help also after i make contact i make the back leg L but i slide my back foot to my front foot right when i make contact i don't know why i do it so plz help.

  1. slow bat speed could be caused if you are really weak


  2. you should drop your back shoulder about an inch so that you square up with the ball and hit a line drive

    you should also try to hit more of the middle of the ball

    also it is not bad to hit grounders if you find holes in the defense

  3. If you're hitting everything into the ground that means you're either hitting the top of the ball or you're swing down. To correct that either swing a little lower so you're hitting the bottom to middle of the ball or try to level your swing.

  4. There could be a couple of causes, the two most likely are

    :

    1. You are just getting on top of the ball. Make sure you look the ball all the way in to the bat and keep your swing level.

    2. Your timing is off. Keep your weight on your back foot and try not to lunge towards the ball.
