Before we came to earth, we lived with God in the pre-existance.

We are literally His spirit children.

He sent us to earth to gain a body and experience what we do, so that if we make righteous decisions, we can progress to become more like Him eventually.

He knows you personally. You are His child. He cares about you and you have a purpose in life.
