Question:

Why am i no longer having periods?

i was on the depo injection but came of it 3 years ago,had periods from last oct to this feb,now nothing drs tested me for pregnancy,told me that as i'm under lot of stress it's due to that,but have been under lots of stresses all through my life so surely it can't be that!

  1. Maybe the stress is more intense.

    If you have lost alot of weight, it could be it


  2. I have heard from my OBGYN that after your 3rd birth control shot you no longer get your period.  I believe that irregular periods are simply a side effect and nothing to worry about, but if you are concerned, see your gynecologist.  

    I know that a change in diet, to less protein or fatty foods can often result in a loss of the menstrual cycle.  Also loss of weight or even irregular sleeping patterns can cause shifts in your period.  If you are having any pain or unease see a doctor, but if everything is normal to them, there should be nothing to worry about.

    And if the doctor's diagnosis makes you unsure, get a second opinion.  When it comes to female troubles, peace of mind is always a necessity.
