Why am i not allergic to every cat? But some I am?

I know it has nothing to do with it being long or short hair, because it goes either way with me......some long hair i am and some i'm not.

its the dander they drop dried skin as they say that you are allegeric to. if its not anything dorpped you will not be harmed even in dogs you would be allegeric also. poodles are best bet for you . take care.

When you are allergic to cats its usually because of the dander that they have and give off, some cats have more of it that others so maybe that's why.

some of those cats are just copy cats.  you are allergic to the real thing.

It's how they shed and how often they l**k themselves. People who are allergic to cats are actually allergic to microorganisms that live in the cat. They are in the cat's saliva, the cat l**k themselves and A) the cat hair sheds and gets in the air or B) you pet the cat at a spot it has recently licked. There are kinds that live on the skin and if the skin flakes up it can affect you. Some cats just have different microorganisms than others and you may only be sensitive to certain kinds.

My best friend has cat allergies and has told me its the cat dander that she is allergic to. Some cats have it and some don't.

im allergic only to ragdolls, and i know they have differnt types of fur to other cats..

some may trigger the same allergic reaction in you, but some may be more mild or not as strong as others

like, i was at my friend's place and when i got home i was wheezing like a smoker. then the other day when i stroked a cat on the way to school i didn't get an asthma attack lol

It could be dander (the dried skin and other stuff that sheds with the hair). Or it could possibly be something else, like a flea treatment that some of those cats are using. Or outdoor cats, which collect pollen on their fur.

same with me i have a British short hair and a tortes shell they fine but other cats i recon its there fur it is smaller and pocks you in the eye I'm really not that sure ahahhhahahahahahahhahahabbabababahhahaha...
