  1. Log in to the Yahoo Groups web site ( http://groups.yahoo.com/ ).  Then go to http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups .  Check to see whether you have a message near the top-middle of the page that says You Have A Bouncing Email Address.  If you do, then click on the Go To My Email Preferences link immed. below this message.  If the e-mail address where you used to receive FreeCycle messages says Bouncing in red just to the right of that e-mail address, then click on the Unbounce link there.  Then follow the directions on the resulting page.

Even if you don't have that message that says You Have A Bouncing Email Address, there's one other thing you need to check.  Go back to the Yahoo Groups home page ( http://groups.yahoo.com/ ) while you're still logged in.  Then click on the name of your FreeCycle Group on the left-hand side of the page.  Then click on Edit Membership near the middle of the top line (just below the ad if there is one).  Then scroll down to Step 2 Message Delivery.  If the default setting in this section is not Individual Emails and you want it to be, then change this selection to Individual Emails.  Don't forget to click the Save Changes button (towards the lower-right-hand corner) when you're done.

  2. The Freecycle Network has established a Privacy Policy to explain to users how their information is collected and used, located at Privacy Statement. Your use of The Freecycle Network website or the Service signifies acknowledgement of and agreement to our Privacy Policy. You further acknowledge and agree that The Freecycle Network may, in its sole discretion, preserve or disclose your Content, as well as your information, such as email addresses, IP addresses, timestamps, and other user information, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: comply with legal process; enforce these Terms; respond to claims that any Content violates the rights of third-parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of The Freecycle Network, its users or the general public.

  3. Your email address is probably bouncing, you just need to visit the homepage and reactivate it.  That's it.

  4. I'd log into your Yahoo account and check things out. Sometimes Yahoo starts bouncing emails back, sometimes for no apparent reason. If so, there will be a message across the top of your Groups Home page.

Also go to the home page and check your membership. Perhaps you were accidentally changed to "no mail" or something like that. Even if it says "individual emails" reselect it and save the change (that does work, sometimes!)

If everything checks out OK, email the moderators of your local group. They can look at the group and member activity and see what's up.

But keep in mind that Yahoo can take up to three days to register changes, so you  may have to be patient.
