Why am i not getting any sound ?

Question

I have a 93 Infiniti G20 and when i put a tape in the deck it does not play. It sounds like a blank tape. You can turn the volume up and down and it will go up and down, but no sound. Does anyone have any ideas ? I took out my antenna cause it did not work i had the same problem then too. I pulled the stereo out and everything is hooked up. I THINK !!! Noticed two amplifiers in the back by the speakers? Hubby said they are suppose to be there. Please help i am sick of no music.

Either your radio or the amp is blown.  They are not repairable.  They need to be replaced.   This is an assumption from what you said "everything is hooked up".

Take it to any stereo shop and they will replace it for you.

It could also be that you made a mistake and even though the wires are together yet they may not be electrically connected.  Try jiggling the wires and see if the sound comes and goes.  If it does then just rewire the connections again.
