I'm 16, and i am a sprinter.

I train everyday, take saturday off and then run on sundays

my times in training seem good enough but when it comes to run on a sunday I am shocking and never run as well as i should.

could there be a reason for me not getting any better?

  1. maybe you have peaked, a point where you just don't get any better

maybe you are not training right, hard fast workouts right?

  2. it depends on how you are training.  if you are do a bunch of long distance training or not getting the proper rest/work ratios in your training you may not see any improvement. You may also not be giving your body the proper rest.  For example, if you have 5 hard days of training, 1 day of rest and then a race day, your body may still be recovering more than the single day of rest is doing.  You should have built in hard, medium and light days or different workouts for each day so that your body may recover.

    Good Luck!
