  1. Do you have a normal cycle - do you know whern you ovulate?  If you have been tryiong for a yr, most OB's will now treat you for infertility - you may want to check to mke sure you ovulate regularly and check the quality of his sperm----it could be a combination of several things.  See a doctor and get some professional guidance and advice!

  2. Well...I'm going to ask questions and hypothetically answer them here, so maybe it will give you some help...

Are you happy? Stress and the hormonal changes caused by stress can make even the best pregnancy attempts fail.

Are you (or him) significantly overweight? Being overweight and/or eating a poor diet can lead your body to infertility, since the human body is smarter then it's brain and knows when it is (or isn't) fit for pregnancy.

Are you using any drugs? While marijuana is a heated debate in regards to fertility, it is KNOWN that most other drugs cause severe fertility-related harm.

Are you eating well and/or taking prenatal vitamins? Eating well, especially a diet high in folic acid, can help your hormones and body prepare itself for preganacy and thus make you more likely to get that way. Prenatals are a great souce of many vitamins commonly overlooked.

Assuming all these answers are good, have you...

Had the both of you checked for fertility problems such as low sperm counts, thyroid problems, hormonal deficencies, etc.?

Spoken with a doctor about this?

You may want to visit www.babycenter.com...it's an EXCELLENT resource for pregancy and kids-related stuff of all sorts.

    Good luck!

  3. why don't you go see a Dr. maybe he's shooting blanks or something else.

  4. YOUR TRYING TO HARD.... TRY TO HAVE FUN WITH IT AND STOP THINKING ABOUT IT AND I AM SURE IT WILL HAPPEN. If you have been to the doctors and have had all test done you are both are fine its because your putting so much stress on your body but i know wot your going through I have been trying for 16 months and  i am  just having fun with it.

  5. did u do ur s*x in your most fertile days which are almost near middle of ur cycle? did u stay at bed after s*x and put a pillow under ur buttock to help sperm come up?if u did these helping and u r not u should go 2the dr for check up and if u have no problem let ur fiance go and do check up

  6. firstly: dont get stressed about it,this reduces your chance of being more fertile,

2ndly are you "doing it" on the correct days?

do you know roughly when you ovulate? work out your cycle so you know when you are most fertile, you can buy ovulation predictor kits quite cheap from boots and they will tell you when you are ovulating,

Your fiance should wear loose boxers as they keep it cool down there therefore keeping his sperm count high, also do either of you drink/smoke as this can delay getting pregnant? a good tip i learnt was during the week i ovulate dont have s*x every day as the sperm count can become too low, do it every other day. Good luck and if it doesnt happen within the next 6months i reccommend a trip to the doctors.keep us posted and remember to keep calm.x

  7. Are you tracking your ovulation? If not start! its a big help.

If so Go see your doctor and maybe he will give you something to help your odds.

    good luck *baby dust*

  8. You could go see a doctor there could be something wrong with one of you. Or maybe your not trying at the right time of the month. Good Luck!

  9. well things like that take time so keep trying but you should also consult a doctor just to make sure there isn't a reason that you are unable to conceive = ]

  10. Don't just have s*x when the calendar tells you to.  If that's the only thing you are thinking about then you probably aren't enjoying s*x too much.  Just relax and it will happen when you least expect it to.

  11. Read "Taking Charge of your Fertility". It is a GREAT book for any woman trying to conceive or even any woman who just wants to know about how their body and cycles work.

Use an ovulation prediction kit (OPK) in order to have better timing each month.

OR you can chart your basal body temp (using a special thermometer first thing in the morning before you even move out of bed) and use that info over time to help pinpoint when you ovulate. Check out www.fertilityfriend.com - you can learn more there and also keep track of all your temps and other fertility signs (such as cervical mucus - the fertile type is stretchy, clear and slippery like egg whites) online.

And finally, check with your doctor because after 12 months, they may be willing to refer you to a fertility specialist. 12 months is usually the point at which a specialist will start seeing a couple. However I would recommend trying out the OPK or BBT charting for at least a few months first, because it might just be that you haven't happened to get good timing yet.

And even WITH perfect timing, a healthy couple still just has a 20-25 percent chance of success each cycle.
