  1. xxcarly me said it, and icarus62 explained it! xD

  2. I think that you are confusing "god" with religion. If god exists then everything and everyone is 'good enough'.

It is religion (and the religious) who place restrictions upon being human and/or being acceptable to god.

  3. he doesnt exist

  4. Who says you're not good enough for God?

I think it's you, not God that thinks that.

  5. The Bible says that there is none righteous (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?sea... ) and that only God is good (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?sea... .)  A self-righteous attitude may be causing you to suffer.

  6. Unless God himself appeared before you and said this, I wouldn't worry about it.  Some self sanctified religious freak who states you are not good enough, is actually talking about himself.

  7. You're fine.  Keep taking care of your family, God can go F himself.

  8. No one on their own merit is good enough for God. There is no "good person" . Only by wearing the righteousness of Jesus Christ, by accepting His sacrifice on the cross for our sin can we be " good enough" for God.  You see God loves us and wants us to dwell with Him in heaven. So He  provided a way for us to become good, by coming to earth as a sinless man ( Jesus)  and willingly sacrificed Himself for us......John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

  9. God and religion are two different things.

And if your faith is being questioned, you should probably take the hint and look around. What worked for your parents isn't assured to work for you.  Go to the library, and start looking at other religions. Refine your view of god, and find out that what you need to figure out that you're a good person.

  10. None of us are good enough for God. We are all wretched sinners. It's not just you. However, God still loves us and He loves you. That's why He sent His Son to die on the cross for us to pay the penalty for our sins. Once we pray to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of our lives, then we have eternal life and we will go to heaven when we die. We must repent from our sins and put our trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ by spending time in God's Word and in prayer every day. The Bible says that live by faith not by sight(what is seen in our eyes).

  11. He loves and accepts you just the way you are.  If the people you're asking aren't being nice about it find other sources.  I hope you find what you're looking for.

  12. Well, NO ONE is "GOOD ENOUGH," so THAT isn't something you should worry about. The church DOESN'T consist of "PERFECT PEOPLE," since there are NONE, but sinners seeking forgiveness and relationship through Jesus.

OK, I see several people saying something like "everyone is good enough." This denies one of the central points of scripture, EVERYONE lives a "fallen" existence and needs God's HELP to be acceptable to him. No, we don't have to "pull ourselves up by our own boot straps," BUT "good enough" would require PERFECTION, and THAT even includes things like NEVER driving 56 in a 55 speed zone. Perfection is not something we can do on our own, but God, through his Spirit living in us, DOES IT FOR US...

1Corinthians 6:11 "And that is what some of you USED TO DO. But you were washed, you were made holy, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

-- This passage immediately follows one of the Bible's more famous lists of so-called "bad" sins, things that "people who do these things will not inherit God's kingdom." Becoming "holy" is NOT something that people can do for themselves, but it is a result of the work of God's Spirit.

Galatians 5:22 "But the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

"Fruit" -- the RESULT of the Spirit in our lives, NOT the result of HUMAN effort.

  13. Keep living your life the way you do! You don't need religion in your life as it only complicates everything!

  14. It's not so much that you're not good enough for god... it's more that god isn't good enough for humanity. At least, not anymore. Religion was the first attempt at science. A way to explain the universe. Now we have science, and don't need magic.

Hence, god isn't good enough for humanity.

    Atheistically yours,

    JM Gendron.

  15. You're good enough for my God.

  16. You are Good enough for God, Listen not to these hard hearted Atheist who wish to turn you away from the faith with their spiritual discernment.

God has a plan for you, for He loves you,

  17. who says God doesnt see you to be good enough for him???..for him you are always good whether or not you remember him..your love for your children is unconditional so how can God's love for his children not be so? After all you are in God's image and taken after him...those religion which talk about God sending non believers to h**l are a farce- dont listen to them?

In our most wide imagination we cant percieve Gods love..its such

the challenge is for only us - how much we can love him --his love is never a question

  18. Hey...I don't know what gave you the idea that God doesn't take you as good enough. Nothing says that in anything I ever read. People say it.

I saw a lady answer a question a lot like yours the other night. I disagree with everything else I've seen from her, but I liked this answer a lot, I kept it...Don't take it too personally, it was for someone else's question.....author was called SJS

"You need to quit believing others when they tell you the only choice you have is to believe in invisible men, and instead come to terms with who you are and what your place in the universe is yourself. If that manifests with a need to believe in an organized religion, go for it, but first evaluate the holy writings of that religion for yourself. It may turn out that you will be perfectly content being Christian at home, by yourself, reading the Bible and living by it (or being Muslim at home, by yourself, reading the Koran and living by it), rather than subjecting yourself to some preacher's interpretation of the writings every week, and pressure you to bow to their bidding instead of following your heart and your own reasoned choices.

So, set aside the saved thing; do some soul searching, find out what you want and what you need; read holy texts and such extensively, from any religion you come across, and evaluate them and how well their teachings resonate with you carefully. Do not listen to those who would quote one line out of a thousand-page volume to try to tell you anything; all things have context, so go to the context, and read it for yourself. Just like reporters like to take bits out of context to make it sound like the person they interviewed said something completely different, so too do religious zealots like to pick and choose which blurbs to share with you to make their point, whilst ignoring the blurbs that go against their point. Read the whole thing and make your own conclusions, rather than relying on excerpts."

Anyway, wish you well. Am sure you'll sort it out. God is the Merciful, won't let your work be lost.

EDIT: You atheists relax with all the slavering. You're worse than the missionaries! Settle down on the preaching. We got it! God's imaginary. Take a rest.

  19. You are not good enough for God the same way anyone isn't good enough. Because we are imperfect. God is a perfect being with perfect standards.

Adam and Eve were pure then God made them. When Adam and Eve first sinned, they became imperfect because they broke God's law.  When they had children, those children were imperfect, because the imperfect cannot make something perfect.  We still have a share of that imperfection today.

But God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to earth as "The Last Adam", a perfect person, who would live out a perfect, sinless life, and eventually give His life, so that He would pay the debt we all have for our sins.  With that debt payed, we now are able to be with God again, if we accept the gift from Jesus.

  20. God sees you and I'm sure he appreciates all you do for your loved ones.

He sees all you do and wants you to know he loves you just the way you are, however he wants us all to believe in his Son.

  21. Peace and blessings be upon you.

Without the GOD, you will not be present , neither you nor your family and children.

your work is for the creatures not the creator, you didn't mean him in your work ,so why you ask for his love.

why you care of the God if you don't believe?

you are a good person ,this is clear from what you say but we have to thank who give us anything.

and the God is who gave you your family and your children which give you the meaning of your life.

  22. there's no god.

  23. Your children and your family are not the only people in the world.

  24. What "God"?

  25. You have spirit, but dislike the organized religions. We are brethren. Welcome to Agnosticism.

  26. "i live my life for my children and my family not for god..."

You're definitely headed in the right direction--family is most important.  Do not live your life for imaginary beings in the sky.

  27. Because there is none.

Live your life and be happy!

I'm sure you are plenty good enough as you are.

PS: Blind faith is delusionary and irrational. It is NOT a virtue in any way! Be glad you don't have it. It's much nicer to be able to connect with reality. And hey.. Don't be afraid to ask questions and search for the answers. That's the only way you can figure out what you believe in.

  28. Religions aren't interested in how good you are, they're only interested in making you a follower, so the leaders can be kept in the power, wealth and prestige that they crave.  That's why they say faith is the only important thing, that good works don't matter, and that's why they promise heaven and threaten h**l to get people to adhere to the religion.

  29. Who said you weren't?God Loves all his children even if they don't have faith. Religion is only to keep us on the right path. that path is all about love. if you can love then God is pleased , but as Jesus said to the rich man if you want to be perfect follow me.
