  1. That means that the owner has yet to approve your membership.  It can take awhile if they're busy or not diligent about checking their group.


  2. Because the owner or the moderator didn't approve your membership yet. It may take up to 14 days to be approved to join a group (as long as the accounts of the owners and the moderators are active)
