ok.. so, my husband and i have been trying to conceive for 2-3 years. last year we finally succeed, but at 5 months my son passed from trisomy 18. that was on may 04 2007... since then we have been trying again... still no luck. i have tried those ovulation tests at home. they always say im not ovualting any where from 10 to 17 days after my period. this is going to sound gross, im sorry. but i never get that gooey ovulation discharge. i never have the signs of ovulation. and my periods keep bouncing from 28 day cycles to 33 day cycles...

  1. I am sorry for your loss and difficulty.  Have you been to the Dr to discuss this?  That may be your best option.  They can check and see if you are ovulating and put you on meds to help if you aren't.  It may be possible that you are not on a normal cycle each month and missing your ovulation each month when you test.

Have you tried charting your cervix position?  Or your Basil Body temperature, to see when you are ovulating?   You can research this on line and find out exactly how to do this.

If this doesn't help just search Yahoo for cervical positioning and basil body temp.  All the best of luck to you.

  2. Sounds like you need to do 2 things that will help alot.

    1. Get and Read the book, "Taking Charge Of Your Fertility"

    2. Do some research (google) on Progesterone Cream and what Dr. Lee says about it.  He explains how you can encourage your body to ovulate.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Remember ovulation tests are not 100% accurate and for some women do not work.  I have tried a lot of them and one cycle I got 12 days in a row of positive tests.  I know that had to be inaccurate.  Also not all women get a lot of EWCM (egg white cervical mucus- fertile cm).  These two things alone are not enough to know if you are ovulating or not.  You could see a doctor and they could determine this for you.  It is the best way of knowing.  If you are not ready for that step then read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and learn how to chart your cycles by using your Basal Body Temperature.  It is a much more accurate way of determining ovulation than the urine tests.  Also you can see if there is a pattern your cycles follow.  I have ovulated as late as cd 20 before seeing a specialist.  So you never know.  Do you use the ovulation tests past day 17?  If not you could try that because you may not be testing long enough to see the positive.  Also remember that the LH surge (which is what the tests detect) can last less than 12 hours so you could miss it all together if you only test 1 time per day.  Also the concentration of your urine and the time of day you take the test can effect it.  I wouldn't use anymore tests and buy the book and chart.  Best wishes and sorry for you loss as well!!!
