okay now i will put my hands up here. i wanted to have some baby bunnies and she had seven babies 4 weeks laterr they are now 7 weeks. But 4 weeks ago wen the bunnies were 3 weeks old, my male rabbit escaped into my female rabbits run and got her pregnant. she is now in her cage at this exact moment in labour. so this second pregnancy was not my fault. But i am so so soo worries because she has just been from one litter and now she is in labour again. im just so upset because the 7 week old bunnies are going on monday and when they go i will just be so upset when they go and i will feel like i am replacing them, because i hav these new ones have have just been born. i have just had so much fun with the 7 week old bunnies and i dont want to replace them. i love them so much and i wish they didnt have to go!

why am i so upset about this tho?

  1. i know how you feel...well you bonded with them just make sure they go to good homes

  2. because you love animals but dont worry the new ones willl be fun to

  3. People frequently get attached to baby animals, they are adorable, but it may be a personal experience that relates to this situation or something. You could talk to about it with someone that knows you well.

  4. It's probably because you feel that it's wrong to seperate the mom and the little bunnies and it's normal for you to care! So, don't stress about it ^_^

  5. It's hard to let go, over the last 7 weeks you have got attached and came to love them for the little individual bunnies they are.

It was the same with my hamster when my suity died my mum went out the same day and got me tootsie. I felt as though I was replacing him and trying to get rid of his memories. But infact my mum thought that was a way of helping me through the pain of a loss. Maybe it's a wee godsend in disguise?

  6. you love them

  7. thats what bunnies do. thats all they know how to do, make baby bunnies lol. so dont worry, there will be plenty more to come.

and your upset because you care i guess. get used to it though, you'll have to get rid of alot more bunnies im sure otherwise you will literally have hundreds in a few months

  8. idk

  9. its so sweet that you care but you have to understand that these bunnies are going to a good place. dont feel you're replacing them !!!! please stop feeling upset!!!

  10. because your house is a farm.

  11. you feel its wrong to separate the mom from the babies

  12. The same thing happened to me. It's because you've been with the 7 week old ones and are really attached to them.  But with this next litter, what I would do if I were you, is try and separate yourself from them more about 2 weeks before they have to leave, I know it sounds horrible, but I had to do that with my bunnies and when my cat had kittens, but we ended up keeping one of the kittens because my little sister didn't want him to leave.

  13. its like wen my dog had pups i didnt want them to go but i ***** possible keep 10 rotty puppies in a 2 bed roome house

  14. you love them so much u cant let go

  15. Because you are a kind and lovely person and there should be more people like you in the world!!

  16. The mom will be fine bec in the wild they have kits after kits. Just think you gave the other baby buns a good life and now there of. Now you can do the same for these little guys. They need you, so put your feelings aside and deal with it. I would be upset to but thats how it goes.

  17. Because you love animals, and don't understand the implications of breeding them. Please, please PLEASE do not put your rabbit through this again. Spay your female or neuter your male, it's just not fair. Many female animals die during labour, could you really have this on your conscience? Knowing she died because you wanted some baby bunnies?

If you want something cute, get a stuffed teddy.

  18. where are the 7 week bunnies going? you need to get one of the rabbits fixed... there are so many bunnies without homes already....

Spaying or neutering your rabbit is very important. Aside from preventing unwanted litters of kits, spaying or neutering has health and behavior benefits. Neutering males eliminates the risk of testicular cancer and can reduce aggression and territory-marking behaviors. Female rabbits have extremely high rates of reproductive cancers as they get older, but spaying them can eliminate those potential problems.

as for you feeling bad - separating bunnies from their mother is a sad thing - they're social animals just like dogs... they like to be together... you're also human and we all get attached to cute things we care about... please don't get wrapped up into cute little things that need lots of care, you had 2 now you have a lot... it's a little selfish if you ask me...now the bunnies have to be separated from their mom and hopefully they'll all find a healthy, loving home...it's on your conscience - not all your fault, but it will tug at your heart strings

  19. what???
