Why an I stuck watching this game?

Can anyone tell me what kind of territorial black hole I am in, that I am stuck watching the Yank-mees and Angels instead of The Cards and Cubs game? I live 800 miles from Chicago, 550 miles from St. Louis, and over 1200 miles from New York or Anaheim. Besides, according to the snippets of info I'm getting during the game break, The Cards/Cubs game looks a little more exciting.

  1. The Yankees-Angels game is the primary national game. So if you're in an area that doesn't have a team in the other two Fox Saturday games, you're going to get Yanks-Angels.

I'd say sit back and enjoy the game. Or look for the Olympics.

  2. Its all based on region, not how far you are from a certain team.  The US map is parititoned into regions.

I dont know where you live, but lets say you live in like Maryland.  The network believes you are a Orioles fan and they think you'll prefer an AL game.  Thats how they usually do it.

  3. YEa

  4. it was a national broadcast game so even ppl in new hampshire would have seen it.

  5. Yeah. I live near Detroit and I usually see the Yanks or an East Coast team. For once, I get to see the Birds on national TV (I also see them occasionally on WGN when they play the Cubs).

  6. Funny, I asked the same thing. The only difference is that I'm stuck with Cubs/Cards instead of Yanks/Angels.

  7. I guess it's because the Angels/Yanks game is the main game they are featuring today.

I live in Chicago, so I'm getting the Cubs/Cards and I suppose it's more exciting if like most you prefer offensive games. The Cards are so far destroying the Cubs.

I'd actually rather watch the Angels and Yanks to be honest.
