  1. We release greenhouse gasses into the atomosphere..and...that forms like a "blanket" in the sky.

the layer of gases trap the heat form escaping the Earth and therefore our climate gets warmer

  2. Carbon emissions from agriculture/beef/misc. industries. Billions of automobiles.

  3. Human flatulence. Oh and so do the cows, so we should shoot them first.

  4. Humans do not cause any major climate change.  The earth has experienced more than one Ice Age in the past.  As far as we know, there weren't any man-made carbon emissions happening back then (unless you include farting in this category).

Some natural disasters today are the result of stupid environmentalist policies aimed at fighting the myth of globabl warming.  When these disasters happen, they are then used as proof by these same idiots to prove the myth of global warming.  The California Wildfires of 2007 are a perfect example of this.  Forests naturally regenerate through fires (stuff taught in grade school when I was a kid...probably don't teach it anymore).  Liberals don't feel forest fires should happen, but they don't want anything cleared from forests either.  Therefore, you end up with forests that have 20 to 30 years of dead underbrush piling up.  Combine this with a drought, and one fire can easily turn into several super-sized fires.

Result: A whole bunch of stuff gets burned down and the fire is blamed on global warming, not on the idiots with the failed policies that made the conditions ripe for disaster.

Future Result from Failed Conclusion:  Government makes more laws that interfere with our lives based on the false myth of global warming.

  5. Not in the least... either why or how lol!

  6. humans didn't realize that using deodorant or air fresh would  cause severe damage in the enviroment but some people don't realy care about even though we live here

  7. Well, first of all we cut down trees , and trees make release oxygen. Then second of all we use cars, and these cars release CO2

  8. Many of mankind’s advancements cause earth surface to warm, destroy the ozone layer(raising skin cancer rates and causing heating), kill off endanger species, heat cities, and in some way cause more dramatic destruction.  Blacktop and buildings (roads, roofs and parking lots-heat cities), deforestation (air pollution, soil erosion-heat the air), duststorms (increase hurricanes and cyclones, cause lung diseases-heat the air), fires (cause pollution, mud slides, and deforestation-heat the air), refrigerants (like CFC's-destroy the ozone layer) and solvents (including benzene-destroy the ozone layer) while plastics, cars, airplanes, ships and most electricity production (causes pollution including raised CO2 levels and increased lung and other diseases); these human problems we must fix to keep life on earth sustainable! Humans have destroyed half of the wetlands, cut down nearly half of the rain and other forests, and advance on the earths grasslands while advancing desertification which increases duststorms. This is now a new cycle of destruction.

The result is:  change is on the way, we just do not know what changes. Look beyond the hype, beyond the weather, beyond a quarterly report and beyond today. President Bush has made a choice of energy (ethanol) over food and feeding the starving people around the world; this is a choice China has rejected. The fact is Bush wants to buy food from out side the USA to send to starving people since our grain is not available.  In fact, the USA is now importing grain right now for the first time in modern history. The world has 1.7 months of grain in storage and without the southern hemishpere contribution people would start starving.

But with that we must understand we have never seen what is now happening before. CO2 has never lead to temperature change, but temperature change has led to increases in CO2. The models have to be made as we go along with current evidence! But again adding a small amount of CO2 to the atmosphere enlarges the earths sun collection causing warming; increase water in the atmosphere and it forms clouds cooling earth but sometimes causing flooding. Even natural events are warming earth and causing destruction. The sun has an increased magnetic field causing increases in earthquakes (more destruction), volcanoes (wow, great destruction), and sun spots. Lighting produces ozone near the surface (raising air pollution levels). We can have control over the earth surface and economic growth. The sun is available to produce energy, bring light to buildings and makes most of human’s fresh water. Composting is the answer to desertification. New dams are the answer to fresh water storage, energy and cooling earth by evaporation, we need many small ones all over. California needs 100 by 2012. If we do not want to spend $30 per gallon of gas we must spent trillions on new energy now.

  9. We didn't.

  10. Pollution.

  11. We've never caused it, but many wish to take credit for it out of hubris, ambition, or greed.

  12. Good question. If it gets warmer due to the CO2 that humans pump into the atmosphere then what exactly did humans do this past year to have it cool almost a degree? If we do cause climate change then we would be responsible for both the warming and the cooling correct?

  13. They haven't - at least not in any meaningful sense or significant scale.

  14. becuz of so much gas pollution going in da air.

  15. Global warming has been going on since the last Ice age right? Ummm... so maybe it was...woolly mammoths farting?

  16. By their simple act of exsisting

  17. Land use changes (a.k.a. change in albedo) would have had the only noticeable effect. Though to what extent is not quantifiable-- difficult to know for certain.

We do know for certain the properties of the heat island effect caused by urbanization (blacktop and concrete buildings.). Though the heat island effect only affects local climate. This is also related to albedo, with buildings amplifying the effect.

  18. The true evidence is surfacing more and more now. The earth has been warming up for at least a couple hundred years, very slowly. It seems the natural climate is actually quite tropical. The earth had a steady tropical climate for some 300 million years, as evident by the plant fossils found at the South Pole, as well as other evidence. It appears that in the last 100,000 years, the climate has been swinging drastically back and forth. We're just in another one of those swings.

  19. The founder of the Weather Channel wants to sue Al Gore for fraud, hoping a legal debate will settle the global-warming debate once and for all.

John Coleman, who founded the cable network in 1982, suggests suing for fraud proponents of global warming, including Al Gore, and companies that sell carbon credits.

"Is he committing financial fraud? That is the question," Coleman said.

"Since we can't get a debate, I thought perhaps if we had a legal challenge and went into a court of law, where it was our scientists and their scientists, and all the legal proceedings with the discovery and all their documents from both sides and scientific testimony from both sides, we could finally get a good solid debate on the issue," Coleman said. "I'm confident that the advocates of 'no significant effect from carbon dioxide' would win the case.
