That your SPV has previously been used to connect to the Internet at least once. This allows us to automatically register your SPV details with the provider of the lock/unlock service, so that we can accurately identify your device before unlocking it.



2. That your SPV is switched on and is within good coverage



3. That your SPV is at ROM revision 1.3.5 or higher

The process of unlocking the SPV temporarily allows developers to install and test unsigned applications. After you have completed and tested your application, you may submit it for signing (see ‘working with Orange’ section of the Orange Group developer site). Once your application is signed, you will need to re-lock your SPV to confirm that your application runs correctly on a standard device.



Please note that the unlock/lock processes will cause your SPV to make a short outbound data call. This may incur a small charge in some countries.
