  1. If I may answer with a twister quote:

    "It's coming! It's coming!"

    "No. It's already here."

  2. I thought Global Warming is a gradual process that's already happening right now? No, the Earth will not be destroyed; it'll live. Only us humans and many other organisms will be.

  3. Global warming is a myth started by politicians to get votes.

Our earth goes through CYCLES -- it will be warm for a few thousand years, then it will be cold for a few thousand years.  There are warm and cold "micro-cycles" with the longer cycles.

We are currently in a WARM cycle.  It started at the end of the last Ice Age, about 15000 years ago. We don't know when this cycle will end .  It might get warm before it turns cold again.

And before the Ice Age, there was another warm, tropical age.

The point is, these cycle happen by themselves.  Man doesn't casue them, and we cannot stop them.  How did man cause the "Global Warming Cycle" that began 15000 years ago?  We didn't have cars and factories and airplanes and bombs back then.  Man could barely write back then!  But the Ice Age ended with a Global Warming Cycle.

Yes, we should take care of the earth.  We should not abuse that which God has given us.  But neither should we refuse the bounty it offers.

  4. Global warming cannot destroy the Earth.  However global warming can lead to changes in oceanic and atmospheric chemistry that can kill the majority of life on Earth.  There have been perhaps 8 huge mass extinctions in Earth history.  All but one are associated with global warming.  The one that wasn't,  the KT extinction which killed the dinosaurs was caused by an asteroid impact.  All the other mass extinctions were caused by global warming brought about by massive flood basalt eruptions.  Amusingly the dinosaurs would have probably have died anyway.  At the time of the Chicxulub impact, the Deccan Traps eruptions in India were playing havoc with the atmosphere.

Mankind seems bent on producing his own mass extinction episode.  Already species are dying in record numbers.  The gas emissions from several billion tailpipes spewing out CO2 probably equate to the amount released by a flood basalt eruption.  Then add in the methane from our herds of food animals.  And the factory smoke stacks... The children or grandchildren  of the "Its just cycles" person above me will live in a totally different world.  If they are very lucky.

  5. Global Warming cannot and will not "destroy the earth".  According to those who believe in it, it can only destroy the human race (many of whom just happen to be so egotistical that they think the world will end if our species dies out).  There are just as many people, if not more, though, who believe that the so called "Global Warming Crisis" is nothing more than natural fluctuations in climate that happen periodically over the course of life on earth.
