Why answer just to be mean?

i don't get why people answer questions just to say mean bitchy stuff, if your gonna answer my question at least be helpful cos yes i know i cant spell and i know i might be a little dumb sometimes but i don't need you telling me. It doesn't do anybody any favors just makes me feel bad, so why the h**l do you guys do it????

there is just nasty people in the world and they obv havent got anything better to do with their lives except to just be tw@ts...dont worry about them...they are still some nice people on here! :)

I think it is mean to do that.

I also think it is ridiculous when you ask if someone has watched

a certain TV show and there is ALWAYS one person who says, "I never have time to watch TV." What's the point of that?

Doesn't that seem like an insult or a criticism of the asker?

I'm sorry you've had that experience.  I agree, there are some folks on here who delight in insulting people who seek honest answers.  But there are also some kind and helpful ones.  You just have to ignore the ones who make you feel bad, hon. They think it's cute or smart, but they're the only ones who do.  On the other hand, there are folks who go to great lengths to answer a question accurately and intelligently, and even visit websites to obtain their information.  Those are the ones you want to pay attention to, and not the smart alecks!  I will never understand why Yahoo doesn't screen them and prohibit the things that are in violation of the community rules, instead of depending on others to do that for them.  It would make things more pleasant on here.

I think they feel it is an easy way to get points. They don't have to actually answer the question, so they require no knowledge. All they need is a smart alec answer. Hey some of their answers aren't actually smart, just rude. Report all these people I say.

When you ask a question, just think of yourself as a politician giving a speech to a bunch of hecklers. You have one advantage they don't, you can "thumbs down" them and what they have to say goes away. However, do use the spell checker. It helps you and it helps not only to inform people of your question, but it helps to even get it answered.
