  1. I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator.

    - Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, Vol. 1 Chapter 2

"We demand freedom for all religious confessions in the state, insofar as they do not endanger its existence or conflict with the customs and moral sentiments of the Germanic race. The party as such represents the standpoint of a positive Christianity, without owing itself to a particular confession...."

    - Article 20 of the program of the German Workers' Party (later named the National Socialist German Workers' Party, NSDAP)

For this, to be sure, from the child's primer down to the last newspaper, every theater and every movie house, every advertising pillar and every billboard, must be pressed into the service of this one great mission, until the timorous prayer of our present parlor patriots: 'Lord, make us free!' is transformed in the brain of the smallest boy into the burning plea: 'Almighty God, bless our arms when the time comes; be just as thou hast always been; judge now whether we be deserving of freedom; Lord, bless our battle!"

    - Adolf Hitler's prayer, Mein Kampf, Vol. 2 Chapter 13

    Just to quote a few.

  2. He may have called himself one.  Anyone can call themselves a Christian.

  3. hitler was much closer to being christian than anything else, but who cares... the guy was also a german, but I'm not about to claim that's wat made him go crazy. Some people are just nuts and Hitler was one of those people.

  4. Anti Christians hate Christians. He makes a great poster child for the anti Christian movement if others can be convinced of this lie. However Goebbels says in his Diary (April 8th 1941) "He hates Christianity because it has crippled all that is noble in humanity" " (April 29th 1941) "Afterwards , long discussions about the Vatican and Christianity. The Fuhrer is a fierce opponent of all that humbug, but he forbids me to leave the church. For tactical reasons." Regarding the "close relationship" between the Vatican and the n***s he writes (April 25th 1941) "The Vatican continues to attack us". (December 28 1939) "The Fuhrer is deeply religious, though completely anti-Christian. He views Christianity as a symptom of decay. Rightly so. It is a branch of the Jewish race. This can be seen in the similarity of religious rites. Both Christianity and Judaism have no point of contact to the animal element, and thus, in the end, they will be destroyed." Continuing to comment on Hitler’s clearly pagan beliefs he says ""The Fuhrer is a convinced vegetarian, on principle. His arguments cannot be refuted on any serious basis. They are totally unanswerable. He has little regard for Homosapiens. Man should not feel so superior to animals. He has no reason to. Man believes that he alone has intelligence, a soul, and the power of speech. Has not the animal these things? Just because we, with our dull senses, cannot recognize them, it does not prove that they are not there."

It is a matter of record that Hitler was obsessed with the occult and was trying to re-establish Germanic Paganism..

  5. He was a Christian. But he did rant against the church from time to time and then get all prayer like again at other times. He probably said whatever suited his needs at the moment. But officially he was christian.

    Its well documented.

  6. Because he was.

  7. And why do Christians say he was an atheist ? Look, even if you prove that there is some moral weakness inherent to atheism for not believing in deities we'll just logically move to Humanism, Pantheism and Wicca (as a religion with zero history of waging war or genocide) in that order. So by all means, make a well crafted case. I'm kind of interested in Wicca anyway.

  8. He was actually a catholic, and his hatred for the Jews came from the fact that he believed them responsible for Christ's death. Of course, once WW2 commenced, and he thought himself as the second coming everything religious went south.

  9. hitler was a christian, so was napoleon, karl marx, stalin, and even mugabe is one.

  10. he was Catholic. He had attended the seminary.

  11. Because Christians keep on saying that he was an atheist, which is very far from the truth.

The point is, he is just a crazy person.

  12. Christians say that Hitler wasn't a Christian. Even as an atheist, I agree. Many sources cite Hitler's "props" for Christianity early on; however, he was probably just using it as a means for control or power. Theoretically, Christianity and National Socialism (Nazism) are irreconcilable. But Hitler, on earlier occasions during his "career", seemed to have some sort of plan to reconcile the two. As his rule became stronger, he began to denounce Christianity and eventually proclaimed that he would "stamp out Christianity root and branch."

Some sources also claim that he was baptized Roman Catholic, and remained so until the day he died. But in some speeches he made, he claimed to be a Christian. Many agree that he claimed Christianity simply for the influence of having the popular religion backing his cause.

How's that for a manipulative politician...

  13. he was a roman catholic...

  14. He actually was a Christian.

  15. Er... because he was a catholic and never recanted. He wasn't even excommunicated after Rome fell to the allies.

    I changed the link.

Note this is what the armed forces had to say when they swore an oath of allegiance to Hitler "I swear by God this sacred oath that I shall render unconditional obedience to Adolf Hitler, the Führer of the German Reich and people, supreme commander of the armed forces, and that I shall at all times be ready, as a brave soldier, to give my life for this oath." - doesn't sound very atheistic to me.

  16. He was a Christian of sorts, but I don't know if he was one in the end.
