Question:

Why are 2 of my 3 male bunnies who've been raised together fighting all of the sudden?

Ok. A week ago one of my outside bunnies escaped the cage. I thought he was rabbit food in the wild until I started seeing him in the mornings by the cage. So, yesterday I caught him and put him back in the cage. Since then one of his "brother" bunnies has been attacking him. Fur was flying but Bobo (the Prodical Son) is not fighting back, just cowering. None of them have ever fought like that before...What should I do? Get all three fixed? Wait it out?

  1. Unneutered males of any species (especially rabbits) won't get along unless they have a really large amount of space...and I can't think of any rabbit cages that are large enough to keep three males of any size from fighting.  It's a minor miracle that it hadn't started any earlier.  Get them neutered and the problems should clear up quickly.

  2. I think that's the nature of our male animals...Yeeeeehaaaaaaa!

Hey, don't worry, your bunnies gonna be alright.

Perhaps, you can separate them for a while.

    Ciao.

  3. Get them neutered and bring them indoors

  4. male rabbits should never be put together.  Once they are old enough to realize that they are both males and they want to start mating..they will fight...you need to separate them

  5. the problem is he left for a while now he is back the other two are telling him who is boss, he is not fighting back as he is submitting to the two other bunnies, it would be best if you got the males neutered as they will fight to be the top rabbit, it is the way animals in the wild say who is the boss and has rights over any females, it does not matter if there are no females in with them it is instinct and you can't really stop it, so the best thing to do is separate them or neuter them they fighting will continue and may get worse as the males get older and stronger, best of luck with the bunnies honey.
