Why are 3 day walks so expensive to particpate in? ?

How come it is so expensive to participate in a 3 day walk?? ?

Has anyone else noted that these 3 day walks for charity are EXPENSIVE? ?

I am completeing a 3 day 50 mile walk this weekend for The National MS Society. I have to pay an additional $119 a night plus an another $80 for a meal tickets for my spouse. I already raised $2800 for this charity and I am floored by the "extra" charges... it's insane!

I think this was being read wrong... I am pissed off at the $119 a night for hotel... which is "mandated" by the charity. Its another $400 that I have to cough up!

Maybe the hotel and the catering people are not paid by the foundation that is organizing it.

Those are ridiculous expenses. Do they think it's New York City?

The sponsors of this walk obviously do not appreciate all the dedication it takes to raise the 2800. I will bet you and everyone else will find a new way to support ms next year.
