  1. It has been banned since the victorian era when jockeys facial hair protruded past the horses head.

  4. there is no rule says they cannot have facial hair.however,in the interests of looking smart,and also the very real situation of them getting injured in a fall and requiring surgery,stitches on the face area ,then beards etc dont help at all.

  5. The short answer is that they ARE allowed.  There is no rule saying that they cannot have facial hair.

    It is nothing to do with weight or aerodynamics, it is a simple case of looking smart and comfort.
