Why are African American women are less desirable for marriage?

I'm not African American, I'm half black but I'm intrigued. They made a study and realized that African American Women and Asian men are the least desirable to have a marriage with...Why is that? What are the mesurements? Can anyone explain this to me? I thought you would want to marry someone based on personality!

Black women are too strong, too independent, too straightforeward and just too d**n confident.  Men seem to want somebody they can boss, someone to make them feel like a "man".  We tell you about your weaknesses, congratulate your strengths, double cross us and we will cut your ***!!!  We can be considered masculine by the way we carry ourselves, we hold our heads up high even though society portrays us as the bottom of the barrel.  Also, we don't trust.  We have been trampled over just too d**n much, men cant deal.  I guess if I was a man, the way men are nowadays, I wouldn't want to be with me either.

I don't know where those statistics come from...as I am about to be married to a desirable man. I believe this has nothing to do with the truth....just what society tries to make us believe...and the media.

Most Asian men are well educated, nice looking and family oriented, they are husband materials.  

Asian men are actually the most desirable men in the dating world among all races.

The rumor is very ridiculous and without grounds.

it really shows you how deeply ingrained some old teachings are. I faced it with my son's dad. His parents  do not like me because I am black and they are Cuban. They seem to think because they are light skinned they are not minorities therefore they discriminate

I'm probably too late answering this question, but the answer is quite simple.

Asian men are considered to be too feminine, and Black women are considered to be too masculine.

In America, Asian men (Asian meaning chinese or japanese, etc), are competing against the majority of men from other races who are taller and have more masculine builds compared to most Asian men. In Asia, were their competition are other asian men around their size, they are more desirable.

Black women in American are competing against the majority of women from other races who have smaller, more dainty builds compared to most black women. In a place where the majority of competition are other black women, they are more desirable.

It's difficult for black women to compete with, for example, women who have straight flowing hair, when your hair is kinky and may not grow very long. Natural straight hair is a highly desired feminine trait for women in America, and if you don't have that, it lowers your s*x appeal.

It's difficult for asian men to compete with, for example, men who are 6'3" when your usually around 5'4". Being tall is a highly desirable trait for men in America, and if you aren't tall enough for the majority of women, your s*x appeal is lower.

Face structure. Most Asian men's faces are not as tough looking as say, actor Vin Deisel. His face is more manly looking, most asian male faces have softer features, smaller nose, smaller lips, not harsh features. Even though there is a trend for women dating more feminine guys, the majority of women date guys who have more masculinity in the face than feminine.

Most black women's faces are not as dainty looking as say, actress Alexis Bledel. Most black women faces have thicker features such as, bigger nose, bigger lips. Even though some guys like more thicker looking women, the majority in America go after smaller, more dainty features in the face.

The solution:

This is all relative to where you live and who's around you. Just date those who look more like you. Like if your a short man with more feminine features, find girls who are more feminine, and shorter than you. If your a woman with fuller facial features, find guys who have fuller more solid features than you. But if your 5'0" tall asian guy chasing after a 6'0" tall black woman, chances are she'll turn you down.

Just date within your league.

EDIT: And for those who believe that it's a myth that asian men and women are considered the least desirable in America....they are the too races who most question why they seem to be least desired. Even in the g*y community, many g*y asian men feel irritated that they're not as sexually desired. I even see them post that all the time on the g*y section on answers.

African American women are beautiful, smart, and delicate. But, I also think that they can be intimidating, but thats not necessarily a bad thing. They need to stand up for their rights, because they have been used and abused. You cannot blame them for snapping their fingers and neck like hah! I am sure women from other groups feel the same way, too. I for one, know for a fact that hispanic women go through the same c**p, but won't stand their ground so as not to lose their face, and I think a lot of white/asian women, too. Now, without making such a big fuss, most men will not end up with a black lady, because maybe black ladies will a) not find them attractive, and b) if so, they do not want to be misjudged or mistreated by the family of the opposite color. See, I know, I am in an inter racial marriage.
