Why are American people online still trash talking about politics?

Honestly. Does it matter. I think that a new topic has to be dscussed in these elections. What's going to happen in the aftermath...

If the Republicans win. Nothing really changes. War continues and Oil is dug for. Whatever.

If Democrats win. Bring home troops. Changes US policies on almost everything! And we all hug trees and move towards cleaner power. Whatever.

The real question I'm asking is:

"What are we going to do, after whoever is elected, as ONE nation?"

Please give a real response, not some dumb quip. Im sick of talking about politics like I'm watching the playoffs...

  1. Most people are usually here to vent, others are here to post their opinions. Few of the people who post questions, or responses for that matter, can do so without responding to certain comments without reacting emotionally. But there are some people who know how to post sensible questions, and respond to/post logical, sensible answers. Some people never learned how to debate, some just aren't good at it - the only thing left is to make emotional appeals once logic goes out the door. And because of that, most politicians know they only have to appeal to a majority of the people's feelings or emotions to get votes.

    Peace

  2. We talk about politics because that's what we do here... How else do you resolve a problem without discussing/debating it.

After a candidate wins we as a nation will do whatever the candidate leads us to do.  If he keeps us at war then we will be at war.  Maybe some protests but nothing more.  If a candidate wins that brings the troops home then some will be happy and some will be mad.  We are people who will never agree 100% of the time, hence the need to debate politics.

  3. zzZzzzZZzzz!

  4. Becuz thats what america is all about politics....jeez.

  5. I think everyone is sick of it. Mainly because it involves nothing that moves us forward, but whining and complaining about things that we have no intention of changing. Either way, one side is going to be unhappy.
