Why are Americans more patriotic than New Zealanders?

i am 16 and i am doing a persuasive speech on Americans are more Patriotic than New Zealanders. i have already talked about independence day and i am stuck on some new ideas can anyone help?

This Country was founded on the basic principles of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. A relatively small group of brave colonists decieded to break away from the powerful British empire and succeeded. We formed a new system of government and almost 250 years later we are still going strong. The American Dream is real and that is really something to be proud of.

I wouldn't question the amount of New Zealanders' pride in their country, as I am sure it is great, I just believe that Americans appreciate their country a little more and what it took for it to actually happen and transform into one of the greatest nations on Earth.

Americans stand by their value and beliefs; and because they are a united country, and one of the richest in the world, all the other countries revolves around them also.

Maybe you could mention the change in attitude after the towers fell.  The difference was like night and day.  All of the sudden, people started putting up flags in their yards.  That event really brought us together.

Americans are a proud people, and we value patriotism ever since our country was founded. Our sacrifices..we honor, our history...we embellish. Our freedom...we cherish.
