Question:

Why are Americans so willing to forgive the Clintons for the disgrace they brought to the White House?

Personally I believe Bill Clinton should have been impeached for having oral s*x in the White House to a young lady that was not his wife. Not only did he not get thrown out, here we are trying to put him back in. I realize Hillary was a victim but she made the decision to stay with him and like all the choices we make there are consequences we must accept. The Clinton family does not deserve to represent America again. Where are the morals of the people in America?

  1. I do not forgive or forget.....

    They are bad people.

    McCain 2008.

  2. Maybe because gas wasn't almost 4 dollars a gallon back then. Maybe because so many people were not losing their houses back then. Because people weren't going to prison for starting their own house on fire because they are losing them. People were not having to move a thousand miles away from their homes trying to find work back then. And it's not just a few people, try thousands........He cheated on his wife.. Big whoopie do. He didn't do anything different than J.F.K. or Johnson did. It just wasn't publicized then like it is now. We also were not sending our sons and daughters to die in a fruitless war back then. No president is perfect. And I'm not saying Clinton was either. But if you think things are better now it's time to open your eyes lady and welcome to the real world.

  3. here is why,.,WASHINGTON — An exhaustive review of more than 600,000 Iraqi documents that were captured after the 2003 U.S. invasion has found no evidence that Saddam Hussein's regime had any operational links with Osama bin Laden's al Qaida terrorist network.

The Pentagon-sponsored study, scheduled for release later this week, did confirm that Saddam's regime provided some support to other terrorist groups, particularly in the Middle East , U.S. officials told McClatchy . However, his security services were directed primarily against Iraqi exiles, Shiite Muslims, Kurds and others he considered enemies of his regime.

The new study of the Iraqi regime's archives found no documents indicating a "direct operational link" between Hussein's Iraq and al Qaida before the invasion, according to a U.S. official familiar with the report.

He and others spoke to McClatchy on condition of anonymity because the study isn't due to be shared with Congress and released before Wednesday.

President Bush and his aides used Saddam's alleged relationship with al Qaida, along with Iraq's supposed weapons of mass destruction, as arguments for invading Iraq after the September 11, 2001 , terrorist attacks.

Then-Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld claimed in September 2002 that the United States had "bulletproof" evidence of cooperation between the radical Islamist terror group and Saddam's secular dictatorship.

Then-Secretary of State Colin Powell cited multiple linkages between Saddam and al Qaida in a watershed February 2003 speech to the United Nations Security Council to build international support for the invasion. Almost every one of the examples Powell cited turned out to be based on bogus or misinterpreted intelligence.

As recently as last July, Bush tried to tie al Qaida to the ongoing violence in Iraq . "The same people that attacked us on September the 11th is a crowd that is now bombing people, killing innocent men, women and children, many of whom are Muslims," he said.

The new study, entitled "Saddam and Terrorism: Emerging Insights from Captured Iraqi Documents", was essentially completed last year and has been undergoing what one U.S. intelligence official described as a "painful" declassification review.

It was produced by a federally-funded think tank, the Institute for Defense Analyses , under contract to the Norfolk, Va .-based U.S. Joint Forces Command.

Spokesmen for the Joint Forces Command declined to comment until the report is released. One of the report's authors, Kevin Woods , also declined to comment.

The issue of al Qaida in Iraq already has played a role in the 2008 presidential campaign.

Sen. John McCain , the presumptive GOP nominee, mocked Sen. Barack Obama , D-Ill, recently for saying that he'd keep some U.S. troops in Iraq if al Qaida established a base there.

"I have some news. Al Qaida is in Iraq ," McCain told supporters. Obama retorted that, "There was no such thing as al Qaida in Iraq until George Bush and John McCain decided to invade." (In fact, al Qaida in Iraq didn't emerge until 2004, a year after the invasion.)

The new study appears destined to be used by both critics and supporters of Bush's decision to invade Iraq to advance their own familiar arguments.

While the documents reveal no Saddam-al Qaida links, they do show that Saddam and his underlings were willing to use terrorism against enemies of the regime and had ties to regional and global terrorist groups, the officials said.

However, the U.S. intelligence official, who's read the full report, played down the prospect of any major new revelations, saying, "I don't think there's any surprises there."

Saddam, whose regime was relentlessly secular, was wary of Islamic extremist groups such as al Qaida, although like many other Arab leaders, he gave some financial support to Palestinian groups that sponsored terrorism against Israel .

According to the State Department's annual report on global terrorism for 2002— the last before the Iraq invasion— Saddam supported the militant Islamic group Hamas in Gaza , Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command , a radical, Syrian-based terrorist group.

Saddam also hosted Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal , although the Abu Nidal Organization was more active when he lived in Libya and he was murdered in Baghdad in August 2002 , possibly on Saddam's orders.

An earlier study based on the captured Iraqi documents, released by the Joint Forces Command in March 2006 , found that a militia Saddam formed after the 1991 Persian Gulf war, the Fedayeen Saddam, planned assassinations and bombings against his enemies. Those included Iraqi exiles and opponents in Iraq's Kurdish and Shiite communities.

Other documents indicate that the Fedayeen Saddam opened paramilitary training camps that, starting in 1998, hosted "Arab volunteers" from outside of Iraq . What happened to the non-Iraqi volunteers is unknown, however, according to the earlier study.

The new Pentagon study isn't the first to refute earlier administration contentions about Saddam and al Qaida.

A September 2006 report by the Senate Intelligence Committee concluded that Saddam was "distrustful of al Qaida and viewed Islamic extremists as a threat to his regime, refusing all requests from al Qaida to provide material or operational support."

The Senate report, citing an FBI debriefing of a senior Iraqi spy, Faruq Hijazi , said that Saddam turned down a request for assistance by bin Laden which he made at a 1995 meeting in Sudan with an Iraqi operative.

  4. Bill Clinton was impeached and allowed to stay in. I still don't get that. the American people don't have any morals anymore and that's why they will vote Clinton in again. not to mention the treason they committed against us. We're in big trouble if she gets in. People please wake up!

  5. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How can anyone seriouly speak of anyone disgracing the White House and the American People after these last 7 years.  Yes Bill lied about conscentual oral s*x with a adult female.

I do realized that having oral s*x with a adult female is much worst than munipulating intelligence to start a war, getting 4000 American Troops killed, 650,000 plus civilians killed, destroying the constitution, stripping away our civil rights, burring the country in so much dept that we are borowing a billion a day just to pay the interest, destoying our economy, shipping our jobs overseas, leaving the border open to his corporate supporters for cheap labor and the first time ever the world questioning our morales and intelligence.

And it must be hard while holding up the holier than thou banner when you have to overlook the on your side at the same time Newpt Ginrich, Bob Livingston (both caught having full blown s*x at the same time they were holier than thou, and both proudly representing the Speaker of the House),  David Viter, Henry Hyde Dan Burton just to name a few on the straight side and there is plenty, plenty more were that came from,  along with the g*y side of the GOP (g*y or Pervert) like Larry Craig among the many homosexual perverts of the republican party.  (Check out on You Tube Republican Party Values)

  6. Bill Clinton should have been impeached and Republicans are so right about how horrible Hillary is. The Clintons are known to lie to people and will say and do anything to win. Which is why if she becomes the nominee, I might as well vote for McCain.

  7. It amazes me that so very few people understand that while Bill Clinton was not removed from office he was impeached the act of impeachment is not removal from office it is bringing charges against him. i really dont think that its such a big deal when you look at the fact that all he did was have an extramarital affair consindering what celebrities do and are famous for i dont think its such a big deal that the president had s*x with another woman epecially when you look at several otehr countries and thier leadrs have done the same thing. it shows the clintons are human just like everyone else and thats why alot of people support them

  8. When Clinton lied, no one died!

  9. I certainly haven't "forgiven" the Clintons'... and FYI to those who don't realize it, William J. Clinton WAS impeached, he just wasn't convicted by the Senate.

And I really don't think Hillary WAS a victim... I think she was WELL aware of the incidents, and she just loved screaming "Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy".

Regarding No one dying under Clinton... MORE soldiers died under Clinton's administration that Bush's...

I wouldn't vote for Hillary if you gave me a million.

  10. I don'y know that anyone forgave them. They did not bring disgrace to the House, the Republicans did. We've probably had presidents that slept with slaves while they were in the White House but that brought no disgrace whatsoever.

What I think is a disgrace is the current administration with their no-bid  contracts to their incompetent friends and billions of unaccounted for dollars most of which probably wound up in their friends' pockets. Bah!

  11. Your question regarding the morals of America is interesting. Yes, the overall morals of our nation is declining, in the sense that people are tolerating a lower level of morality than in previous generations - or I should say, in the public forum, things that are done publicly, they are willing to put up with increasingly immoral things. Not to say that shameful things didn't happen before - they were just kept more discreet. JFK was a beloved president, but it is common knowledge that he had an extramarital affair with Marilyn Monroe, and of course his wife knew about it, and stayed with him.

As for Hillary Clinton, keep in mind that it is she who is running for President, not Bill. This election, it is Hillary for President, not Bill for President. You must separate the two. That confuses me - why do people automatically link the Lewinsky affair with Hillary's campaign? You must separate them. Hillary is running for President, not Bill.

As for Bill Clinton deserving impeachment for his actions, I think that if he deserves impeachment for anything, it is for the fact that he lied under oath. It is not the extramarital relations that he deserves impeachment for. Yes, it is wrong and dishonorable to commit those deeds, but it is not against the law. However, I think people just wanted to move on from the whole affair - and they also saw his political contributions to our country - and they felt that his s*x life should be a private matter - which is how he got away with lying under oath about his s*x life. I think, however, the stress of the whole situation and the sleepless nights and press scrutiny for Bill was probably a punishment enough!

As for Hillary's decision to remain married to Bill, that is a personal matter, not a presidential one. And when you speak of having high morals, wouldn't you agree that one issue of degrading morality today is the willingness of people to abandon their marriages too easily, resorting to divorce? If anything, when it comes to morality, shouldn't it be a credit to Hillary that she did not divorce him, but chose to stay in the marriage (even though she had perfect moral grounds to divorce)? He cheated, and she had perfect reason to leave, but she did stay. Doesn't that speak to perserverance on her part, to keep going when things get tough? Wouldn't lots of marriages benefit from that same perserverance and spirit of forgiveness?

  12. I guess you're one of those that thinks morals is limited to sexual activity, or the commandment on adultery.

There's also bearing false witness, coveting, killing, stealing, loving your neighbor, all of which are usually overlooked and hardly ever stressed by Republicans who are fixated on the s*x lives of others.

  13. THE BEST MAN WIN POLICY

The white points of arguments are this,South Carolina primary definitely goes for Obama since its was supported by black majority,so in his argument is that, what's is wrong if Ohio supports goes to Clinton as  they're the majority white. He carry on to mentions, when the white supports the white, the black said it's purely base on racial line,But when the black support the black,it's not racial as he said,(they never had once to have the Black President of USA)it's understandable natural propective reactions (on my personel opinion) But My points here that they're both wrong in either ways,to engage and feels the backward uncivize past arguements, whereas our forefathers already reached and settled this issues before.

(as we always heard the proverb(The Two Wrongs,Doesn't make One Right), by playing this dirty card tactics that divided us as a nation,as it looks like a bunch of plain sore losers score attitudes by both parties, particularly during this very Important Elections that  people still using these cheap-skate execuses to raises their sentiments. It's much easier to Raise One's Sentiments, just only at finger tip moments ,then to create One Unity,as our forefathers does  a Century ago to reach a common ground.

Why must we argue and belittle one another? We are all civilize USA citizens, can't we all makes Consensus rather a Confrontations on each other? I can understand the history beneath the root feelings of both parties,(Consensus, togetherness we're much Stronger)On the part of the white please do takes this opportunity and reality, so called the first black president's candidate that's most, brilliant, with fascinating intellectual mind,if you really cares to know and read either one of his published books, to get insight know him better.

A law graduate from our top-notch finest University our land can offer,Harvard Law's School,he also happened to be Harvard's first black President of it's 104 years history and also Harvard's Law School first as the President's Candidate.

He also has a very warm personality as a person, the brightest, even amongst our white in our nation,The best "Man Win" policy should be the major consideration in picking a President for Democratic Nation rather a color of his skin, Americans should understand this all about their forefathers of America believing in,This is what the Constitution of United States all about stated, that relects in their earlier struggles days, the root of true aspirations and enthusiast lies with INTELLECTUAL ability instead rather going forward with SENTIMENTS feelings, we are becoming a country of MONARCHY approach as we heard everywhere people were saying with the same dilemma,we can see on this Candidate that has been reflecting the Highest ever turnout at Primaries history.

People were dogged with the past memory, with the thought of voting for Clinton because a win for Hillary would put her husband, the former president, back in the White House too: "Oh God,With Bill Clinton. All our Life's was so good back with Clinton."as acclaims, going forward with this assumptions actually USA going near to a bankrupt country for sure, we might as well consider bring back the spirit of Abraham Lincoln to Washington.

Now we now living dangerous becoming a Country of Communism Socialize Union past,Only Bush/Clinton Have the the only RIGHT to be American President attitudes sooner or later we shall see a DYING UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. We have been Living so close with Ideologies of the Father\Son\Husband\Wife\Daughter Monarchy of Bush/Clinton Dynasty.

Hillary was right to mentioned during the Texas rally " America needs to BORROW MONEY  even from his "FOE CHINA" just to buy Oil as payment to Saudi" "What happened to other American Allies?like UK,Japan, maybe they have exhausted too much already, Perharps the most closest America ally like Saudi may start to wary of America ability to pay, as old debt accumulates,.in asking the payment upfront from USA.

Now America have new reputations "World-Wide eyes as Nation of Debts!!!"Many his Allies now trying to avoid at any cost from America, they're removing their fund from USA banks.During Bush /Clinton terms were cause of letting the" LOBBYIST" to dance with ideas with Sub-Prime Mortgage are their faster solutions as early in 2000, they can thinks of,Which I Views as problems"SWEEP UNDER THE CARPET" solutions by their Bush/Clinton administrations even they know very well where these situation lies and more lies ahead from them, which the people feels everywhere with HAPPY momentum.

Flush with easy money that lies everywhere, during their terms, every American having a happy attitudes settled before them well,Bush/Clinton adopted this approach,to solve nation temporary problems, shifted from the Truth, whatever happen next is not under their terms, this beyond their imaginations and expectation, the issues becoming so serious that effected too many people at the national stage, now they're trying again to do the remedy?too far too late, people start to realise how TRUE to be homeless now with forecloses and bankruptcies pettitions, they realised the decisions that been made by so called Commander-In-Chief earlier cover lies .

Stactic Never Lie,The Politicians with the most experienced at Washington were those who bound to be the biggest Liars.

This'd the True our American dreams that come " Once in the Century" Once in our lifetime, called an able black USA President among "Ourselves" even White, Americans did had many opportunities before and long history of white Presidents since the days of Abraham Lincoln.

    COLOR BLIND

  14. Sorry, bub.  Current statistics show that 60% of men and 40% of women cheat on their spouses.  It appears to be a national pastime.

Infidelity in a marriage is a matter between husband and wife.  It is not open to the public arena - not even if it concerns a President.

The Clinton's are still together, they obviously have worked it out to their own private satisfaction.  That's enough.  It's none of our business how or why anymore that it would be if your next door neighbors were going through the same thing.

Sexual infidelity is rampant across society and across the world.  Why should one person's failing be held in contempt?

By the way, if having s*x outside marriage was an impeachable offense, several of our Presidents wouldn't have remained in office very long - and most of our Congressmen and women wouldn't either.

Mind your own business and quit passing judgment on others.

  15. There is no comparison to what Bush has done.

He has disgraced the nation in the eyes of the world.

    Read about it.

  16. Beware of people who are so good at judging the acts of others.

People accuse others of what they themselves are guilty of!

  17. Hard times make people long for a simpler past. That helped Nixon come back and get elected during the turmoil of 1968, as controversial as he was and having lost the 1960 election to Jack Kennedy, people saw him as a symbol of a simpler past (the Eisenhower administration), and believed that he could fix things. This same effect could potentially help Hillary Clinton in her quest for the White House.

  18. Any married woman in her right mind would have left this guy a long time ago. Kismitt and BJ your both right in saying that infidelity has become the past time of our society, but this is a politicial power move.

If your willing to be humiliated just to put your self in a position to be able to get back to the white house 8 years later, that’s what we call a long range tactical move. For those who’ve played chess or strategic games you know what I mean.

The military does it all the time just to win a war (look back on WWII and review some of the operations where scores of Americans and allies where sacrificed for the greater good of the operations to win it).

It has become the past time of American’s to live in the soap opera (If you remember those soap’s from the 70’s), We are willing to forgive anyone if the story continues as before, or get us back to the good ole days. I for one don’t care for the Clintons and there political prowess or family affairs. Clinton put us through a lot as well (remember Kosovo/Serbia conflict (Bosnia), oh yea there where Americans there as well that where killed,  just under the UN flag), remember the first bombing attempt on the WTC, that was under Clinton’s watch (as we in the military say).

Even though I do not agree to what JB has put us through as well (we went from bad to worst with him). How about a change, some new player’s in the game for a change. Sport’s teams do it just to win the game or change the out come of it (how bout we do the same, try something that is different and not go with the same ole thing).

I’m sure we can do better than what we have in office now, But trying to get back to the good ole days is not going to happen, by putting in some of the ole tired horses to run your race, no matter how fresh his/her legs are.

  19. I am dumfounded by it. The most talked about is just the tip of a very dirty iceberg.

  20. agreed 100% but some say awwww wow what a woman to be able to handle that kind of humiliation and still hold her head high .... looks like she did "stand by her man"

  21. I dont know how people can turn such a blind eye to politicians in general anyway. We let them get away with murder literally [see Ted Kennedy]  If these "people" are going to be our leaders they must be held accountable for their every action and for every action there must be swift reaction.   If we owned a business and our "employees" acted in such ways as these meat balls we would show them the door wouldnt we?  Why are politicians held to any other standard we "hired" them and we can surely fire them too!!

  22. Hillary? You mean old Travelgate girl?

  23. Don't count me in the group that forgave them.  I think they disgraced this country.  In addition to Bill's sexual exploits and lies, don't forget about their childish arguing over all the White House furnishings they took/stole when they left.

  24. as sad as it may sound, they do represent america. more than half of all marriages end in divorce. a large percentage have cheated on their spouse and morals are out the door thanks to the left secular progressives who think unisex bathrooms, birth control for 12 year old girl without parents consent and no more ,mom and dad conversations because it may ofend someone who has g*y parents.

  25. Let those without sin cast the first stone

  26. It is easy to forgive. Jesus said "Father forgive them they know not what they do". I am no bible scholor & I don't even believe all the bible says. I believe god made all books infalliable so we would use our intuition & discern what is true or not. People who believe the way I do live very happy peaceful lives. I believe in forgiveness. Having graditude for what I have any helping others. I have faith not fear & trust I do not have to kill to protect myself. I do not need a gun. Republicans talk alot about religion but don't realize that democrate live it. War is murder. Running up a deficit for anything is not listening the messages spirit is telling which is that this is wrong so stop it. I could so on & on but I am a very spiritual person & people like me usually just mind our own business so while we aren't arguing with people who are complaining all the time about democrats we are just peacefully thinking that we will allow others to their own experieces. We are safe. Some of us do get some guilt feelling about poor people right here in this country who are treated so bad. I know the truth it that God is in charge so I remain feeling peacefully while I do try to speak up for those who can't speak for themselves.
