I've noticed in international competitions, Australia always sports green and yellow, even though their country colors are red, white, and blue.

  1. They like the color yellow and green...a lot....i guess

  2. Red, white and blue are the colours on the Australian flag but not the national colours. The national colours of Australia are Green and Gold. Flag colours and national colours don't have to be the same. Like how Italy wear Blue, even though there flag is red, white and green and NZ wear black and Holland wear Orange even though there flags have no black or orange.

Australia first wore Green and Gold back in 1899 during the Australian crickets teams tour of England.

  3. Probably to more easily distinguish themselves since so many other countries are red, white, and blue (U.S., Russia, France, U.K., New Zealand, The Netherlands, and countless others).

  4. Because they want to

  5. because their colors are green and gold not red white and blue.
