Both Barbies and Bratz are unreal representations of women...but whos idea was it to make a doll a hook-a and sell it to children? Please all we need are little 7 year olds saying "she is s**y" and "I wanna dress like this!". (I have heard both!) What is your opinion?

  1. because kids like things that seem adult-y.  i made the word up lol.  i guess mature is the right word.  anything that has ties to the adult world, they love, because all kids just want to grow up.  in today's society, s*x is everywhere, so naturally kids want to be "s**y" because adults try to be s**y as well.  bratz and barbies just allow them to channel that want in a way that is still childlike, so thus it is acceptable.  if your daughter walked into the room in a miniskirt, stilettos, and a halter top, you would be angry.  Kids, and more importantly, toy companies, know that.  but if your daughter plays with a doll and dresses it that way, it is more acceptable.  Bottom line:  today's s*x-driven society is to blame.
