  1. 1) the sun provides higher readings than the moon

    2) All the companies and people out and about during the day instead of at night.

    3) heat of the day raises the levels and coolness of night helps lower them.

  2. Because trees absorb CO2 at night, so there's less C02 during the night.

  3. Hi,

CO2 level in atmosphere is not higher during day, actually it is higher during nights. This is because the plants and animals breath all time (days and night). So they release equivalent CO2 throughout the day. But Plant consume CO2 during photosynthesis in day (sunlight) only. So, some of the CO2 is consumed in day but none is consumed in night as there is no sunlight and plants need sunlight for photosynthesis. Therefore, CO2 is higher in nights than in days.

  4. Co2 is a very inconsistent gas, Heat will dramatically expand this gas, caused by the "SUN to Co2" energy transfer, Cold will cause the gas to condense from the energy loss if the sun is not present. The tools used to detect Co2 levels uses infrared which detects heat signatures, during the day the gas      will cover larger amounts of the atmosphere, therefor heat pockets or Co2 readings will be High during the day and low at night.    hope that helps.
