Why are Canadians so cocky about their Olympic performance?

Probably for the same reason USA, Jamaica, Australia, or any other country is proud, not cocky. They are proud they were there!  Some people don't compete just for medals, but for something inside themselves.  The medals are just icing on the cake.

BTW I am American, but my hubby is Canadian.

Darn I missed my favourite event, knitting ,when was it on? can I find any videos on it? Who won? did anyone protest the results? I have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to how Canada treats the Chinese, and neither do you.Edit so you say you do know what you are talking about, give some examples of treatment by Canada involving the Chinese. BTW my wife is Chinese, and is an admin assistant to a government minister. If people don't meet the requirements  then they drive cabs untill they do.

Who's the guy that said that the chinese, Brits and Aussies are c**p in the olympics - are you for real, or do i detect a slight whiff of insecurity around your answer? Shape up buddy, all athletes who make it are dedicated and intense, give them a moment to be proud and stop being such an ***.
