Why are Capricorns often times very cold?

My ex-husband was a typical Capricorn.  Cold.   Distant.  Workholic.   Bore Grudges.  Practical and obsessed with detail - to the point of being anal about it.  Completely unable to express his feelings, would sulk for hours and expect me to work out what the h**l he had the hump about.  Argh!  Very frustrating.  I'm a Sagittarius and we can't be doing with all that.

I'm now with a Libra man who's much more communicative, passionate and fun to be with.

My sister is a capricorn & at times can appear to be cold.

One thing I will say about her she is two faced which as nothing to do with being a capricorn.lol

They only seem that way on the outside. In my experiences (as a cap) i've subconciously been "cold" to people im not a big fan of... When you do get to know them and earn their trust you'll find out they're very warm hearted

my life has been influenced by many capricorns... dad, sister, grandad, grandma, my best friend & finally my husband. yeah... thats a lot of capri in my life.

i get along very well with everyone except my husband! my husband is what u call it "a typical capricorn"... sometimes, i feel he doesnot have an emotional side to him... money comes first when compared to emotional needs... "UNTOLERABLY" practical... lies a lot (to him, its just mere blabbering)... will do almost anything to get what he wants... hardworking... seems cold-hearted... he has got different character when he is with me, when he is with his family, when he is with his friends...  emotionally detached... gives TOO MUCH importance to money that sometimes i feel he married me for money... he doesnt trust anyone, not even me... TOO controlling... TOO possessive... TOO stubborn... NOT AT ALL romantic... TOO traditional.... TOO secretive... TOO jealous... the only positive thing i saw in him is his calm way of taking difficult situations easy & staying focused on his ambition!

i am a libran married to a capricorn since 2 yrs (no kids yet).... the astrologers told us it was a very good match! but now i wonder!!! i cant find any emotional match between us... i read on many sites librans & capricorns never match... but there is something between us that is keeping us glued together & i still havent understood what it is. and i still cant understand why i love him so madly, even after he is SO cold to me.... or do we love each other?  *sigh*

*sigh*  i so much agree with u kelly. all u have told about ur husband matches with my husband's character. its like they cant understand the difference between family, romance, love, likeness, money, cuddle, s*x, etc... even if we sit up with them & explain. i feel my energy is all drained out just by being with him... *sigh* now by his influence, i feel unknowingly i am turning cold-hearted living with him...  : (

I think because they are scare of being hurt so they preferred to be seen distant and cold.

They are normally very sensitive but they like to be in control of their emotions so they become distant.

I like what ~me~ had to say. I am a Virgo and have been married to a Capricorn for 7 years. We have a beautiful son that is 5 years old. I love him with all of my heart. But when it comes to my romantic relationship with my Capricorn husband it's well, cold. I understand how you feel. He is always grouping our family life and romantic life. We never do anything anymore, together (just the 2 of us). Unless I make it happen. Even then, it's like he doesn't appreciate it, or me. I have had many sit down talks, which do NOTHING. It doesn't help that he has a Aries Rising and moon! Yikes. Absolutely no PDA. Can't even hold his hand, cuddle, nothing. Only when we are at home and it sometimes doesn't happen then either. I don't know exactly what it is. They definitely can't express themselves when it comes to feelings. At least mine can't. It is very hard and frustrating at times! Good luck to you. oh . so true. my bf is a capricorn & he's like that, & my aunt is a cap too & she's totally like that. who knows why they are. but when they care for someone they totally do. my bf seriously i can say i am his world & everyone else can eff off. u know what i mean

Capricorns can be warm and charming, but yes, underneath it all there is a certain coldness.

Y'see, Capricorns are very very practical. Everything they do has to have a purpose or use in a practical physical way... and emotions are just so unpredictable and impractical. I mean, what's the point of emotions? Don't they just get in the way of trying to accomplish something?

OK... I am exaggerating a bit, but that is kind of the core of beliefs at the heart of a Capricorn. But the good news is, Capricorns get younger as they get older. They are born old, and lighten up as life continues.

And after 54 years as a Capricorn (so far), I speak from experience.

Because they are serious minded and find everything still and serious. I have a Capricorn friend that's not cold, but she's the only Capricorn that I've met that's not cold. Well, mostly because her birthchart has lots of fire and air signs.
