Why are Carnival cruises MUCH more expensive during the holidays?

Anyone know? They're almost double in price.

  1. Because so many people have time off during the holidays - more people are traveling, so Carnival cant get away with charging more.  Simple case of supply and demand.


  2. Just so you know, all cruise companies have much higher rates during the holidays, airlines do too. They know the cruises will be filled up and so they know people want to go at that time no matter what and will pay more. On the plus side, I was on a cruise during Christmas and the main rooms were decorated really nice and on Christmas day, Santa came aboard and gave each kid a gift. That was a nice touch. It is all about supply and demand.
