  1. probly cuz they scout forom the age 3 and take the athletes and mold them into what they want... tru stuff.... they hav ebeen training since 3yrs old or so i herd them talking bout it during womans gymnastics

  2. It seems rather suspicious how good they are, but there's no doubt that they train like crazy. I mean, look at the swimming. They were never that good, and now, wow. It's either the result of drugs or hard training, and I do believe its the later. Good for them.

Also, once the track and field events start, things will change. America will probably dominate over that.

Oh, and maybe its just me, but I get the feeling that the judges for some events are rather biased for the Americans and Chinese. Sure, the chinese are absolutely excellent at diving and gymnastics and stuff, and deserve their high marks, but there are times when other countries seem to perform just as incredible in their rounds, but recieve unreasonably lower points.

  3. They are doing really good this year, BUT they always have the most medals in the first week. We usually take the lead in the second week

  4. Because they train for ridiculous hours almost every day... It's in China, they having done everything they can to win... This is not just "fun" for them, it's work...

  5. They've gotten a lot of golds from weightlifting and synchronized diving. They put the most money in developing those kinds of sports because they give the most medals.

  6. It was going to happen at some time.

They have improved a lot in each Olympics. In 2004 they finished second, so now it was their turn to be on top. I guess home advantage is also a factor, but certainly they have very good athletes.

  7. Home advantage on supports and climates.

  8. i wouldn't call leading by 1 medal dominating, but once the track and field events get going, you'll be asking the same question about the US

EDIT: is running 2nd on the medal board to the US the new definition of dominating?

  9. They can choose from 1 billion people and we can only choose from 300 million.

  10. b/c they have heaps of people in almost evry event giving them more of a chance for gold,

  11. Actually they're not.  The EU is dominating the medal count.  You need to compare apples to apples, not apples to oranges.  Click on this link, http://shanghaiist.com/2008/08/12/2008_b...

  12. Because firstly they have the advantage of having the games held in their home country. Also because the Chinese are willing to put in the hard work and endless effort to be the best!!

  13. There is no other reason except that China has worked terribly hard to achieve this. Unlike athletes from the west, Chinese athletes are very patriotic and highly motivated to show to the world that China "HAS ARRIVED" not only in sports but economically and world's influence. That's the reason you see so many Chinese bashings from westerners who have started to feel insecure about the rise of China.

  14. Because the Chinese are willing to work harder than any other people on Earth.
