  1. I think all people fear death. Whether you are a Christian or non-Christian. At the end of the day we all fear uncertainty.

Some people maybe need religion to deal with that uncertainty, while others use drugs or drink themselves in a coma. Others prefers to do yoga or focus on this one life.

People are so diverse and we all do things differently, but at the end of the day we all fear the 100% certainty - that we are going to die.

Even people who commit suicide must have some fear of doing that.

It is complex, but I dont think the one fears it above the other.

  2. Atheists tend to realize that death is just the end of life.  This makes death easier to cope with.

Christians worry about an afterlife and possible Heaven or h**l, not only for themselves but for others they care about.  It also leaves a lot of loose ends and unanswered questions.  I think it is harder to find closure with that and move on.

  3. They are afraid they haven't lived up to God's expectations.  People are always trying to avoid their final exams.  For atheists, there are no final exams.

  4. If I was a Christian, I'd be going sky diving every weekend... hoping for that one little mistake that finishes me off.

  5. you a very religiously and politically incorrect........

  6. I don't know, but I do know that if god is in your heart then you will fear him/her. We are not perfect, but we can come close if we try. The ones who are afraid know what they did in their life, and should be afraid for god will not take fakes. I am not the judge, your in or your out, don't do little sin's and ask for forgiveness.    This is why they are afraid.  6 billion people,  5 will go to heaven.

  7. it's the heaven and h**l thing

  8. ..because they care more enough about where their souls are going..

  9. Matthew 6:25

Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?

  10. Like everyone else, they want more time with their families and friends. More time with life. Thats common sense.

  11. Your thinking doesn't add up to me.  I could turn exactly what you said into "Why are atheists afraid to live?  They never pray for God to heal them.  Do they want to die?"
