Why are Clinton Woods and Tarver fighting each other? Why is Chad Dawson fighting Glen Johnson?

Why didn't Showtime just put Tarver and Dawson in against each other. Glen Johnson is no threat to the much younger Dawson and no one has wanted to see Woods fight since he took a beating from Roy Jones in 2002, Woods only lasted 6 rounds that night.

Showtime had been pushing for a Dawson Tarver match for Tarvers last two fights but I don't think Tarver wants anything to do with Dawson so to appease him they let him go for the other title that Woods holds and brought in Glen Johnson who has already fought Woods three times 1-1-1. Johnson is true to his word that he will fight anyone so this match was easy enough to make. At any rate it will be a step up in competition for Tarver who hasn't fought anyone of note since losing to Hopkins two years ago.
