  1. the two words are almost similar ,but they are miles a part in essence,

conservatives are about so called human progress and money

conservationists are about being responsible about our Natural resources ,respecting and preserving them.

almost a total opposite of the conservative.

  2. Liberals jump in with ideas and don't think them through.  This alcohol thing is one that just plain can'[t work.

Conservatives do think things through and do want to do what needs to be done.  They will accomplish more then the liberals but get little recognition for it.

We know the most pressing problem is the number of people on this planet.  There are three times as many as there should be.

  3. If you are a conservative then you are for conservation by definition. If you support conservation then you have to be a conservative. That is how the words are defined. The liberals try not to use them so but if you look them up that is how they are defined in the dictionaries.

Political conservatives are trying to conserve our heritage. They oppose change for changes sake. If a change will enhance our country then they will support it but you must show that change is beneficial to the nation as a whole before they will accept it.

Social conservatives are much the same.

Environmental conservatives are newcomers to the game of conservatism and forget that the country folk who live upon the land have been conserving their resources for generations and tell us how to do what we have been doing for many years. A farmer who abuses the land soon will not be able to grow enough food to feed his family. Hunters who kill off all the game will not eat next year. LOL City folk think the strangest things.

  4. I have no idea why people have that very missguided idea.  Have you looked up Al Gore's home (a serrious liberal)?

Now look up President Bush's home (a concervative).  You tell me who has the more earth friendly house, the conservative, or the liberal?

Why did President Bush sign more things for alternative engergy like wind and solar than any president before him?  Why did President Clinton REFUSE to sign some of these very same bills?

My husband and I are conservative.  We live in Idaho.  We live on a permaculture farm.  We raise/grow most of our own food.  Cooking from scratch means I'm butching the animal, and grinding my own wheat for bread.  This means almost no garbage is produced by our household.

We produce our own biofuel with rapeseed (canoloa) we grow ourselves.  That means we do not support terrorist countries, nor do we have ships crossing the oceans for us.

We do all kinds of earth friendly/wildlife things on our farm.  We do not use poison, or sprays of any kind.

My husband works on those commercial wind turbines.  We see them as such an earth friendly alternative, we would rather that he work there, than as a helicopter mechanic (his former job).  He can make twice as much money as a helicopter mechanic.  Would you cut your paycheck in half to work in a field you believe in?  HARD physical work too, out in 100 degree weather, or negative 60...they get it all up at the wind turbines.  Did I mention you have to climb up a 300 foot ladder to get to your work site?  Would you do that?

Would you do the hard physical labor of growing your own wheat crop, harvesting the wheat, baling the straw, and then with your own too hands build your own home out of straw bale?  We will.

Conservatives are interested in business, and making jobs for people.  With jobs, people are able to suport themselves and their families.  In turn, those employed people can make good choices both for their families, and the environment.  Which is better, a sound, thriving economy, or a depression?

I live in one of the most conservative areas in the United States.  Over and over again I see these conservatives making good sound choices for their families, their neighborhoods, and the world at large.

You are 100% correct that conservatives do not support many environmental things.  You will find that those environmental things actually do MORE damage to the environment.  Dig deep, don't just read the studdies put out by tree-huggers.  You might be really suprised at what you find underneith.

By the way, when was the last time your entire community got together to help someone else in the neighborhood?  We have service projects all the time.  One of them I helped with this summer was tearing down an old piggery at a widow ladies house.

We had about 75 people there.  They brought their own tools, including tractors, and heavy equipment to tear stuff down, paying for the fuel they used themselves.

The boards were salvaged into one pile.  The scrap metal into another pile.  My husband got a scrap metal dealer to come out and collect the metal and write the lady a check.

Every bit of it was hauled off at everyone elses expence, and hard work.  She was left with a spot bare and ready to be replanted as part of the pasture.  Her yard was also totally picked -up, trimmed-up, and new flowers were planted everywhere.

We do service projects like that all the time.  Did I mention it was 98 degrees out that day?  Hot day to be working that hard.  What do you do for your local community?

Do you belong to a Church?  How many tons of food is your Church growing for the needy and distibuting every year?  I'll give you a hint that my Church has the worlds largest cattle ranch, and the largest citrus groves of anyplace, public, or private, and that we grow food in all 50 states, as well as other countries.  Every bit of this food is distributed to the needy.

My Church was there helping after Katrina 6 hours after the storm ended, with semi trucks of goods and people for labor.  I'm sorry...refresh my memory, when did the truck loads of liberals roll in with goods and people for labor?  Oh, that's right...they didn't.

So if you are religious, what is your Church doing for the local community, and world at large to help people?

Well, this conservative lady has to get off the computer, and go feed livestock, and start baking bread for dinner.

  5. Sorry but you Americans are quite RIDICULOUS WITH THE STORY OF BUSH AND GORE´S HOUSE

Other countries massively build zero energy houses and set strict emission standards for buildings... WHAT ARE YOU DOING? JUST TALKING ABOUT WHOSE FAULT IT IS??? THIS IS THE MOST PATHETIC ATTITUDE !!

The last debate I can remember like this was the Byzantines about the angels gender.

  6. I'm not. I am very much in to conservation.

  7. I looked 'conservative' up in the dictionary; Favouring the presservation of established customs, values etc. and opposing innovation. Whereas conservation is something altogether different. And some of you Rodneys even seem to think that picking up litter is going to (directly) end global warming, or that ozone depletion is the same thing as global warming.

You guys don't have any right to argue over who's fault it is. And you don't understand there's no time for the blame game or playing politics with this issue.

In the UK the Conservative party is greener than the 'leftist' party, and all parties are chasing the green vote as much as they dare. The Green party meanwhile doesn't know whether to be pleased mainstream partty politics is starting to get the idea, or cheesed off that thier political agenda has been cherry picked to nonsense.

As my Spanish friend says, GET WITH THE AGENDA. and quick.

    Bunch of Rodneys.

  8. What should be the source to produce electricity, coal, oil heavy oil, windmills, hydro damns, solar panels, nuclear power, wood burning, what would we use?  There is a group of people that fight everyone of these ideas so whats the answer?  If anyone would put out something that made sense, I think a lot of people would get very interested in the problem if we really have one, but I''m tired of all the wrong information that's being put out there by special interest groups that twist the facts.  I don't believe any of them.  What effect is the suns activity on the earth and the earths core itself on global warming?  What about the millions of acres of rain Forrest that is and has been cleared in the last 100 years?  How many more Hydro Damns could be built in the United States and how much electricity could they produce?  There are solutions to the problem but it will take pressure from all political parties to get anything done, and quit playing this silly game of always blaming the other side for all our shortcomings.  Nothing is going to change until we as a nation stand united as one and demand something be done now.

  9. We're not.  We just have better common sense when it comes to resolving these issues.

  10. Because we are Tree Haters!

  11. Because Al Gore enforces it...

  12. Because they need to rape the land in order to squeeze that precious dollar out of it.

  13. No, they call protesting hippies tree huggers.

Republican presidents are responsible for most land set aside for protected forrests and parks. However they allow planned logging of some sections of forrest to meet industrial needs and to clear the understory thus providing a more healthy forrest. Then some hippie comes along and chains himself to a tree and claims that conservatives hate the environment.

Most hunters are conservative in politics, and lets not forget that it is hunters tax dollars and minds that fund state game&fish programs, species re-introduction, wildlife managment, forrest conservation, and overall interest in the well being of our nations forrests.

Hippies, protest, spiking of trees, blah blah blah, do nothing for conservation. all that these tactics do is crate problems, do you more so understand why we may call you treehuggers out of frustration

  14. Ike,

The premise of your question is flawed as others here have pointed out.

It's not about conservatism or liberalism.  It's about control.

Ask: "Who gets to influence how you think?"  This will drive your actions, buying habits, voting and what rights you are willing to give up.

    Next: "Who benefits by this?"

We heard of overpopulation and starvation in the 60's, coming ice age in the 70's (complete with scientific documentation and growing glacial maps), ozone depletion in the 80's.  Conservation and global warming is just the current trendy platform to manipulate you.

    Think for yourself.
